STV Import: Read & Write Metadata files for Default STV 5/6 (v2.2.9 18/Feb./2010)

Since I don't even use the automatic creation option, I've turned that option off and the problem went away immediately. I also noticed that there was quite a bit of network traffic when there should have been none (there were no current recordings, nothing new imported, and no future recordings for several hours). I'm talking about a constant background traffic of, if I remember correctly, I think over 10 Mb/s (yes I mean bits), not just occasional spikes as is normal for any computer on a network. Turning off the delete orphaned files option immediately stopped this behavior as well.

I created a perl script to get episode info, download background art and folder.jpg files for all of my files. Makes like pretty easy!

I am putting the episode info in a filename.my file in the same location as the video file. Everything is working except I want to have newlines in the description...or newline anywhere!

I see ### is for a new line but that is not working for me. Also tried "/" and ";"

I would really really like to have newlines!!!

This fixes the cleanup of orphan .my and .properties code to attempt to prevent anything nasty happening if anything weird happens while processing in the cleanup thread.

Hi,

been playing around with this plug, most of my Sage content are DVD/BR Rips, I manually download cover art, but I use this addon to generate the other meta data. Is there a way to allow the addon to search for part of the movie title and have you select teh appropriate result? For example, Bedtime Stories on IMDB has several entries, if I do not include the (2008) in the name, the addon error's out and as it can't find the title on IMDB. Any help would be appreciated!

NVM, updated to 6.11 and it now gives you choices if there are multiple matches!!

Thanks for the update. I greatly appreciate your work on this. Still I likely won't update my setup for a while, due to other issues, but it's great to see this improved/updated. I especially like the Phoenix stuff, I really need to get up to date on that tool.

PS:I updated the thread title to match the new version/date. I realize we have the announce forum now and Opus4 usually does the thread title updates, but... I just wanted to help out a little, since you guys work so hard.

I'm trying to convert the .my files into xml files for roksbox
I've got a script set up for this - but there are a few fields that I am missing for the xml files.

it appears that there is some info in the
"View Recording Detail" (in SageTV) that is not exported to the .my or .properties files

Is there a flag or setting that I can hit to turn this on?

specific examples:
* Starring: .... (i.e. actors)
* Writer: ....
* Executive Producer:...
* Director: ....
* Closed Captioned, Stereo, HDTV
* Rated ....

Duration (in minutes) would also be awesome (though I don't see that listed in "View Recording Detail")

I'm converting ripped DVDs to MP4 and it looks like this may help with the .properties file creation.

Yes it works it is called Complementary Metadata Tools (CMT) in the plugins.
