Weird issues

It seems a problem has cropped up for me with the 6.1.x beta releases.

When FF/RWing multiple times through a show, sometimes when I start watching again, the video will be very choppy. The audio is fine, but the video seems to be playing back at about 10 FPS. If I pause the program and restart or FF/RW again it will go away. This only seems to happen after FF/RWing.

After watching 1+ hours of a long recorded show all of a sudden the playback goes to crap. The audio is fine, but the video exhibits problems like above. However, restarting the show only fixes the problem for 1-2 minutes, and then the choppiness comes back. I believe I have only seen this problem on digital recordings, but I don't usually record long analog shows. Closing and restarting SageTV fixes the problem.

Has anyone seen problems similar to these? This is using the stock STV. The second problem reeks of a memory leak, whether from SageTV, Java (released version 6), or the HDHomeRun manager.

I have not have this problem with 6.0 or any prior releases. No drivers have been upgraded on my system, and no new programs installed.

Carl

Hi,

I do not know a solution for your problem but I see the same here. The video is choppy while audio is fine and the time bar goes all the way to the end. When I press pause and then play again it continues just fine and the time bar goes back to where it should be. I think this only happened with 6.1.x here also. I went back to 6.0.19 two days ago since 6.1.6 is giving me way too much trouble and I have not seen this problem since then.
