Sage using the MyHD Dolby Digital decoder?

I have some funki sound stuff with Sage and MyHD. It seems like Sage is using the MyHD dolby digital decoder. Changes to the MyHD audio output, directly effects Sage's output.

But also, Sage seens to take control of Wave output and not make it available to MyHD or system sounds, until I quit Sage. Sage has the sage.properties setting to ignore the myHD card. Anyhow, there are none of the other compatability issues between the two that I've read about.

Unless Sage has its own DD decoder, or the Hauppage card does, the MYHD decoder is the only DD decoder on the system. To that point, I couldn't get sound from Sage for DVD playback until I got MyHD setup.

Anyway, its fine if it uses the DD decoder, but I think its hogging the WAVE device or whatever, from everything else. Sound familiar to anyone?

thanks, jb

running Sage 1.whatever and MyHD120 (with beta drivers and app). Found the instructions in here on tellling Sage to ignore the MyHD120. Also, my sound problems were realted to using the Nvidea sound drivers instead of the Realtek drivers and appear to be solved now that I have worked that out. (Don't let Windows Update update your Audio driver.)

MyHD MDP-120

Hey thanks for the tip jb33. Yeah Microsoft's Update has messed with me in the past.

Do not mean to keep picking, but are you able to use the turner component of your MyHD MDP-120 card or are you using a diferent turner?

I am basicly looking to keep only one turner in my system and would prefer the MDP-120 card.

No, I'm using the Hauppage card with Sage. I haven't checked recently but I don't think Sage does or will support the MyHD card. For HD card support in Sage, you need to look to AccessDTV and I think support for that is pretty beta though I'm not sure.
