Questions about studio - newsgroups integration
I'm working on implementing a newsgroup parser that pulls information from the news server (.nzb) and lists the current files in a .txt file. Or maybe if I download all the .nzb files it lists the files and action can be taken based on their selection. I'm thinking I can get Sage to list this text file, or files and have the listings where you can click them and it sets it up to download the binaries at a scheduled time. I'm using NGET for the listings download. NZBPerl to download and decode and automated .par verification. Dirmon and some other programs will handle the .rar extraction and move the .mpg or .avi files to another directory where they can be selected for viewing. Then dirmon will clean the "working" directory up based on marker files I plan to use when items are unzipped and the proper media is moved to the designated place.
Is this type of thing possible with studio? SInce I've never worked with studio where do I start? The backend as far as listing, downloading, extraction, moving, and cleanup are easy.
Basically I should be able to list the current downloads (based on the .nzb files downloaded that day) in sage and select the ones I want. They will then be downloaded to a file, decoded, extracted, then moved to a VIDEO directory where I can view them. So all sage needs to do is list the directory and execute commands based on selection within that directory.
It's all on paper now. I will have all but the sage integration done very soon.
TIA
