Q: Can the extender wake the server PC when the server PC is in standby?
A: The STP-HD300 can; the other extenders cannot. At this time, only the STP-HD300 can send a WOL packet to the SageTV server. When the HD300 starts and can't connect to the SageTV server it is supposed to autoconnect to, it will send the WOL packet and wait for the server to become available. When performing a full restart after being plugged in or after using the Power button on the remote, there will be a dialog with an option to cancel the wait for the server to respond. When using Home to quick connect to the last-connected server, the WOL packet will be sent, but there will be no visible notice on the screen. . |
