STX-HD100 Beta firmware version "20090609 1" is now available for testing.

To use beta firmware:
STX-HD100: Use the remote's number pad to enter the code 2382 ('beta') on the HD100's firmware update menu in order to tell it to look for the beta version. For help about how to update the firmware, see the HD100's manual or this FAQ.

For manual installation via the HD100's "Recovery Procedure" in the above FAQ, download this file, remembering to rename the file to match the FAQ's instructions:

Changes for beta version 20090609 1 include the following:

• Improve seeking in flac files with index
• Fix flac audio decoding for larger packets (file with very high settings still can't playback because of cpu resource limit)
• Fix 5.1 downmix when using software decoding
• Add support for forced subtitles (standalone or at least 6.5.17 server)

It is recommended that this version of the STX-HD100 firmware be used with SageTV v6.6.

The HD100 update contains all the core updates from the HD200 firmware that are compatible, which includes most updates except standalone mode features and certain media limitations.

• Fix issue with some large mkv files index
• Fix audio video sync issue of some AVI files with non standard encoding of audio offset
• Fix audio on some AVI files that had 0 size audio blocks
• Various core fixes
• Update rendering system
• Fix forced subpicture decoding
• Fix invalid avi parsing (won't seek)
• Various specific file playback fix
• Updates to rendering system
• Fix index issue with long mkv files.

It is recommended that this version of the STX-HD100 firmware be used with SageTV v7.0.
