I too have both platforms and couldn't agree with you more, I prefer to surf the net on the PC despite the spyware, as the browsers are better, but I will NEVER "trust" a PC to say write a paper or report on, I'll tinker with a PC and then fall back on my trusty 5y/o mac to make the day better. Oh and by the way since when can u not use a two button mouse w/ a mac, I have a Microsoft 1, and if you only have a 1 button avail. use cntrl-click, same thing!

Bwahahahaha... OK... Whatever. I guess almost every university is wrong... Heh. Everyone used a PC in every doctoral and post doctoral program I've audited. The couple doctoral candidates I audited used Word on Mac... heh. Work on Windows is still faster and better.

But again, each to their own. There is room in the world for difference of opinion.

I won't trust a mac that isn't running osX either I'd rather use a typewriter. I have yet to have my mac freeze when using word and freezing has occured many a time whilst using other people's pc's

I wouldn't trust anyone else's computer either. Most people are the cause of system instability.

I agree. I own both, but i love Os X so much more than windows. Once you actually start using it for long periods of time you really start liking the expandibility of the Os. My windows experiences seems to be summed up by saying if i want to do something new with it, i need to spend more money to buy the parts to either make it faster or because i want to tinker. Windows for games and other distracting hobbies and my apple laptop for work.

Oh and the one button mouse reason is just stupid (sorry to sound harsh, just this reason is always mentioned). If you want, you can use any mouse. Os X is more keyboard oriented anyways. You can get around hella fast with a keyboard once you know the shortcuts and keys. Not to mention expose is a godsend for productivity for me. I tried a windows version (win expose) and it really is clunky in comparison, i dont want to spend the money to try the others.
