Maybe I'm getting my versions mixed up. I assumed 6.4.5 to be referring to the server version, but I'm now thinking it's referring to an STV? I guess I hadn't seen anything about updating STV's other than using the "check for updates" in the detailed setup.
System info says: Software Version: SageTV 6.4.5.179 Current STV File: SageTV3.xml (6.4.4.8 July 2, 2008) Current STV file set version: 2008070201 To answer your question, no, I never replaced the STV - only updated to the 2008070201 to fix the favorite priority problem. And then I update my server from 6.4.4 to 6.4.5 after the initial problems with the install of it were fixed. Last edited by spvoyek; 07-23-2008 at 10:35 PM. Reason: To answer a question

You are using SageTV v6.4.5, but you have an STV from v6.4.4.
 By any chance, are you running Vista and have SageTV3.xml files in the VirtualStore and in <SageTV install dir>\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3? If so, which one has the newer date? Did you install v6.4.5 in the same path where v6.4.4 was previously installed? - Andy

Yes, I am running Vista.
Yes, I do have two SageTV3.xml files. The one in Program Files is dated 7/10/2008. The one in the Virtual Store is dated 7/3/2008. If I click on the button to change STV's in the detailed setup, the file dialog opens in the Program Files folder. I'm pretty certain I installed 6.4.5 to the same place I had installed 6.4.4. I assume that was the default and I didn't intentionally change it.

I figured it was Vista... for now, try renaming the one in the VirtualStore & restart SageTV. I'll have to look into Vista's effects some more.
Has anyone else using Vista run into this, where the STV was updated, then after a new version of SageTV was installed, the old default STV was still in use? - Andy

Bingo!
I closed SageTV application, renamed the SageTV3.xml in the Virtual Store to HideSageTV3.xml and then restarted the SageTV application. Now system information says: Current STV file: SageTV3.xml (Version 6.4.5.2 July 10, 2008) Current STV file set version: 2008071003 Thanks much!
