I'm in the US so I don't think the Vista Business issue is locale related. Yeah, it's pretty weird that this happens on Business only (so far) I've got UAC uninstalled, I'm an admin, everything is installed into the defaults.

**Edit**
FYI, I got the same error on a Vista Premium box as well. It must be something specific to my config/environment.

Running on my Vista Ultimate x64 workstation. I'd love it if once you've detached it, it would maybe show more info from the Sage server (partial description in a larger window, maybe the tuner being used, etc).

Thanks. Your gadget is now working perfectly. In case anyone else needs to make this change, you need to shut down and restart the gadget after editing the file before the change is picked up by the gadget and takes effect.

Thanks, same error regardless which area of the gadget I hover, I have even tried to move some of the script down a line one a script file at the time so I can work which one has the error at line 9 but for some reason it only became active after I logged in and out which means windows must load the gadget in memory and regardless of what changes one makes to the files and they don't seem to affect real time even after reloading the sidebar.
If I manage to pinpoint which particular script file is generating the error I will let you know.

I think I finally have figured out the problem. Please download the gadget again. I forgot to remove some references to functions used in my other JRMC gadget (I used those files as a starting point). I have no idea why I am not getting any errors here but I hope this solves it.

I'm using vista business and the flyout works correctly, but when its not flown out I just see dashes where some program name should be. (at least I see that in your screen print of the little blue box top right..)

Names will show up when it is recording a program. Hence the title "Now Recording" in red in the gadget.

You're right! I wasn't recording anything while I was looking at it yesterday. Very cool. -Bill

How do you install it?

This is just a zip file. How do you install it to the sidebar?
Very frustrating...

Problem displaying web page

A couple of things:

When i have the menu selected to open the web page when i click on the logo, the web browser opens but doesn't display anything nor does it have an address in it's URL field. How can i debug this to see what URL it is trying to display?

Also, it would be nice to also display what is currently playing in the box too, like the SageTV task bar pop up utility does.

What browser? It goes to the homepage of the webserver with your username and password. I use Firefox and it prompts me if I want to login to the website before opening the page.

I will consider this for a future update.

Opens a browser but doesn't display anything.

Seems to continuously wait to connect to the webserver and there is nothing in the URL field of the Web browser. I'm on Vista64 if that matters.

You didn't say which browser. Is it possible that a dialog is behind the browser window (try to minimize the browser and look for it)? Otherwise I guess it could be some security setting.

On Vista 64 bit IE 7 doesn't even start when I set it for the webserver. SageTV client won't start either. That's because it is in the C:\Program Files (x86) on the 64 bit OS.

i had to modify the js file(s) to point to the corect "program Files (x86)" directory for the SageTV client in order for it to start.

Also, IE7 does not work with the Widget - probably a security setting somewhere. But when i set my default browser to Maxthon (an IE shell), it opened OK.
