Same here with Windows 7 Ultimate x64 - it's been completely stable, and I've been running it for the last year or so.

I guess I spoke about a week too soon . The sidebar gadget suddenly stopped working for me today. It happened at about the same time on two machines, one running Windows 7 x86 and the other Windows 7 x64. It's similar to what happened when I installed the IE9 beta a while back. However, the sidebar gadget has worked flawlessly after uninstalling the beta and reverting back to IE8 and I haven't installed an IE beta since then. I also haven't made any specific changes to either machine and certainly not to both machines so it's unlikely to be related to something I did. I wonder if it's related to an automatic update (?windows; ?antivirus software). However, the automatic windows updates that I'm aware of occurred yesterday and the gadget was working fine after those updates and I tried temporarily disabling my antivirus software and this did not resolve the problem. Does anyone have any ideas what I should try next. Thanks.

Mine stopped working today also. I assumed it had something to do with the new router I installed. Now I wonder...

Microsoft Patch Tuesday was this week. Might be related. There was some IE related stuff.

I'm even more confused now.

After 5 hours no connection, the problem resolved as suddenly and mysteriously as it originated, and the gadget is again displaying my recording schedule on both computers. Interesting, other than the regular continually-running background services, the computer that's my SageTV server, has not been touched or used for the entire 5+ hour period from gadget working to not working and back to working.

I am wondering if the gadget problem is related to the EPG problem?

The gadget doesn't have any dependency on the EPG so that is unrelated. I am working on a new version of the gadget that is significantly different so I hope it will resolve the IE9 problems for everyone.

The new version of the gadget for SageTV7 is available here: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54192. It now uses the sagex-api services among other changes so I hope the problems people are having with this one will magically disappear .

Agreed. I uninstalled the old version and installed the new version and it is working great. I really appreciate the Free Disk Space display.
