I rang Welwyn and to pay the charges you need the 14 digit reference number from the letter they send you in the post.

From what I've read they'll only release the parcel once you've paid the charges, so I'm not sat here waiting for the letter to arrive so I can pay and then wait again for the parcel.

Unless of course I'm wrong and they send the parcel and a letter out seperately, but I don't hold much hope of this. I was hoping it would be here for the weekend as I'm off to Cornwall and wanted to show it off to another Sage friend.
I had this last time (HD100), so I rang my local depot and asked if I could go and pick it up and pay the charges at the same time. They said "sure not a problem" so 15 mins later I was back home with my new toy. Maybe this is worth a shot unless your not in a rush for it.

I like this idea. Unfortunately my depot is an hour away so I'll wait and see if I have a letter in the morning, and if not I'll give them a ring. I'm sure I could fit a return journey into my lunch break !!!

go to http://www.parcelforce.com/portal/pw/home and in the bottom right corner you can track your parcel.

Click the 'track parcel' button and on the next page enter the USPS number, and tick the 'incoming international parcel' box.

It will then show a new parcel force number. Click on that and you get all the details.

Well I finally got it

You definately need a convertor for the plug. Tesco's sell them for £4.99

I was hoping one of my 12v psu's would do but the ends are different. For now the adaptor will do.

And I don't have a TV here to plug it on to, so all I can do is stare at it until Sunday night

Oh yes, and import tax..... which includes £13.50 for parcel force admin fee, was £37.69

Got mine as well

I had to also pay £37 which is outragous IMO but thats life.

I bought a 1amp shaver socket from Sainsburys for 0.72p so that was a nice saving.

I was hoping you would have tried yours because I'm getting an error when I try and play any type of media, that includes recorded TV, Live TV, DVD's, MKV's, avi's and all other types of files Not good news. I have updated the firmware to 01/12/08 I think it was. I guess I'll have to look through the forums to find an answer.

Just tried the online services and they also dont work "error playback exception".

I didn't think about a shaver adaptor. As long as it has flat bits it should be ok. A work colleague brought me one in to try - it was then that I realised I have one already.

Not sure about playback though. I'm guessing it needs setting to PAL but not sure if the procedure is the same as the HD100 or not.

The friend I'm visiting this weekend has a 40" LCD TV and sage so I'll see if I get time to test it out there. I'm taking an MVP to lend him for now - he doesn't have HD yet and that should be better than his graphics card.

Got playback working now All that was needed was the beta firmware to be installed. I did try this the first time but the code wouldnt work so this time I pulled the power lead out and tried again and it did work. Next task is to get audio working over HDMI.

The shaver adaptor I'm using has a 1 amp fuse in it and its blown twice.

I'll get some 2 or 3 amp ones later. Thought I'd let you know incase yours go, you don't have a multimeter handy and start worrying if you've blown up your nice new toy

Being an electrician I have many multimeters My 1 amp fuse has been fine and if I remember correctly (its all tucked away in a cupboard) the PSU only takes 0.6amps so a 1 amp fuse should be plenty. If it does blow then I've got plenty of tinfoil in the kitchen

I tried mine on my dads 37" samsung today. Another fuse blown! I found a 2 amp one and it hasn't blown yet.

The HD looked fab.

I want a new TV but can't decide what size to get. Most people I know have a 37". I was toying with a 32" as my living room is tiny, but I think that may be too big, which leaves the 26".

I wish the shops would let you take one home for the night to test drive.

I always tell my wife, if you can get the TV in the door, it's not too big.

I can assure you that there is no such thing as a TV that is too big. I haven't owned a TV smaller than 46" in the last 11 years. First I had a Sony RPTV, then a Samsung HD LCD but mostly now we watch on a 10' screen with an HD projector.

There is also no such thing as a computer monitor that is too big. I use a single 30" while my wife uses 1x30" plus 2x24"

General rule of thumb for best results is you should be able to sit 2.5 times the screens width away.

I wish my desk had room for a 30" monitor...

... and that might explain the issue with the 9 inch TV we had when I was growing up.

What decade was that? or were you brought up behind the iron curtain!

I think I'll have to get the 32" one as I haven't found a 1080p 26" one.

btw from TV to head is about 85 inches.

A 26" computer monitor s 1920x1200 so handles 1080p

We had the 46" HDTV in the bedroom at one time at about that viewing distance. It was not too big. The m ain problem that people have with large TVs is that they find them ugly when switched off.

The rule of thumb is based on pixel size for an average res of 720p..... counts more when your talking about a 7' screen like I have for my projector.

Is no-one have the same playback problems as I am??

I can't watch for more that 5 minutes without it locking up and re-booting. There's load of comments about this in the extender forum...

Yep I'm on the latest Beta Firmware and Yep I also go stuck with £37 VAT/duty

Well there is a cause for everything.

What version is your server? using it with a server?

Is the HD200 in a place with extreme interference? IE sitting on a speaker!
