Placeshifter, company firewalls and an IT department that does its job!

Hello,

I'm having an issue while tunneling my placeshifter to my home server via https.

When I fire up my placeshifter after the tunnel is set up, I got the exact same screen as if I were setting up my local server.

I mean the placeshifter asks me if I want to enable the service mode to allow clients connections. If I do so, the actual server at home get disabled and no more shows get recorded and therefore no clients can connect.

Anybody got any insights about this issue ? Is this how it's supposed to work ?


I have to mention that everything works OK from my folks' house using the placeshifter (v6.4) the way it's supposed to!

My config is:
Work placeshifter v6.5: Tunnel through port 443 with port 31099 forwarded. Placeshifter setup to connect to 127.0.0.1.
Home SageTV v6.4: cygwin running sshd on port 443

I found a kind of workaround by copying an existing working placeshifter's profile in place of the new one SageTV serveur is trying to create.
