I'm not going to look back too far in the thread history so some of these questions may have been asked before...
1. did you edit the sage.properties while sage was exited? not just sleeping? 2. Can you manually see the schedule file with file explorer? Jim |

In order for Sage to create the Schedule file the line below must be in the Sage properties file. This should be inserted when Sage in shut down not just sleeping. This is the Line
scheduler_export_file=c\:\\Program Files\\Frey Technologies\\SageTV\\Schedule.txt This assumes you want the Schedule.txt file in the SageTV folder. Then also put sagewake in that same folder. Also after you created the line in sage properties save and close the file as soon as SageTv boots you should see the schedule.txt file created.

Search your whole hard drive for the file. If you are missing some of the \\ or the one after "c" then it will put it in a different spot. Jim |

Hi there,
Is there a way to use sagewake in combination with GBPVR? To be more specific: I have the problem of no video after the pc wakes from hibernation. As far as I know sagewake is the only tool out there that can run a command after the system wakes from hibernation. It would be great to only use that feature to restart the driver of my pvr350. However, now it seems sagewake needs the schedule text file. Een with --noir --nomanual --nofavorite sagewake asks for the schedule file. But GBPVR cannot create that. Greetz, MaBo |

I think you can just create an empty file and tell SageWake to use that as the schedule file. It won't find any recordings, so it won't ever wake your system up itself, but it should still allow you to use the terminate and execute capabilities.

Hi,
I thought I had Sagewake working, but now for some reason, Sagewake is preventing my system from sleeping. If I try to manually sleep my htpc, nothing happens. I know it is Sagewake because the Event Viewer in the control panel reports Sagewake as denying the system sleep. Do you know why it would do this? Thanks.

Did you look at the schedule.txt file? Does sagewake think you are supposed to be recording something? (I don't think it even cares if sage is running or not)
Did you look in the sagewake log area? Do you have the no IR switch set? (if you don't use intelligent recording) If you can't get it from any of the abouve then.. Try killing sagewake and start it again and see if you can manually sleep you computer... That's all I got... Jim |

I just noticed a bug in SageWake.
I tried to sleep the system while recording and SageWake Denied the request. But then SageWake appears to have received a resume event and then started SageTV eveb thought it was already running. SageWake should have disreguarded the resume event since it was caused by it denying the sleep. Here is my log: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252" standalone="yes" ?> - <SageWakeLog version="1.2.3.1"> ... - <Event time="9/12/2004 10:23:36 AM"> <NowRecording>Meet the Press</NowRecording> <SetAllowSleep allow="false" /> </Event> - <Event time="9/12/2004 10:23:47 AM"> <SystemResumeEvent /> </Event> - <Event time="9/12/2004 10:23:47 AM"> <CreatedProcess path="C:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV\Startup\StartSage.bat" id="1816" /> </Event> - <Event time="9/12/2004 10:40:12 AM"> <CreatedProcess path="C:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV\Startup\StartSage.bat" id="1360" /> </Event> </SageWakeLog> John

What is you command line for how you start sagewake? If you look way up above in the earlier posts you'll see several flags that can be set. I believe it's also in the read me. You need to have the -noir flag set when you start sagewake. Otherwise sagewake will stop you from suspending anytime it see anything in schedule.txt file. If you are already familiar with all this then there is something else going on and you'll probably have to start sagewake with a log file option and then the author will probably have to help.. jim |

I have sagewake in my start group in windows, so it starts on bootup. There isn't a certain order of which to start the programs, is there (I have the sagetv starting on bootup option on)? It doesn't work whether I have the -noir or not. The target in the shortcut is:
"...sagetv/sagewake.exe" --noir I'll get that log file posted... EDIT: Here's my log file. I basically just added the --logfile parameter, rebooted and then manually tried to Standby. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252" standalone="yes" ?> <SageWakeLog version="1.2.3.1"> <Event time="9/13/2004 12:05:57 AM"> <NextRecording start="9/7/2004 9:29:00 PM" stop="9/7/2004 10:00:00 PM" manual="false" favorite="true">Scrubs</NextRecording> <SetWakeUp time="9/7/2004 9:28:00 PM" /> <SetAllowSleep allow="true" /> </Event> <Event time="9/13/2004 12:05:57 AM"> <NowRecording>Scrubs</NowRecording> <SetAllowSleep allow="false" /> </Event> </SageWakeLog>

Looks like your schedule file is horribly outdated. Might want to get SageWake looking at a current schedule.

How does the schedule file work? Shouldn't it update itself?

It does, but you have to enable SageTV to output to it. There are posts in this thread explaining the necessary change to the SageTV properties file.
