Ok MC video library looks fine and the file view and all video view works fine. Some cover art refuses to show but maybe I will have to reload the SageMC stv. But its not showing any of the problems the wall was showing in file system mode "all movies disappearing". I fixed the 2 video problem. i have small samples of the movies in the same directory named the same except for "sample" at the end. Apparently the name was to close so movie wall saw them as the same and this bugged out selecting them in movie wall mode.

Give me an example of two file names in one folder please even with sample at the end they should show as seperate unless bmi is giving them the same title name in the properties file which it very well could be

I would like you to try a beta of version 4 if you wouldn't mind as I think what you are seeing is fixed in version 4 shoot me a pm if you want to try

Plucky,

In light of the TV Explorer release, could you possible add a filter for "Non TV" or something like that? Right now my TV shows are showing up in SMW and TVE and I'd like to have them only show in TVE now that it has been released. I don't know how much work it would be, but it will probably help a lot of folks as it will allow folks to have all TV whether it is recorded or imported in TVE and everything else in SMW.

Just a thought...

It is alrighty in the beta PeterReader hinted to it over in the TV explorer forum. But yes there is a filter in there now

Hopefully Version 4 can be released this week. I have really great feedback over the weekend and only have a couple of issues to work out.

Plucky,

Between what you are doing and what razrsharp is doing, I may have to switch to SageMC.

First you want wall view
Once you are in wall view hit options and go to wall options

From there scroll down and make sure infooverlay is off and info background black is on

From there hit left or right until you get into universal options and fine info stick on exit set that I ok if you want to keep this view

No exit the options menu and hit info and that should set the view to what you are wanting info will toggle back and fourth

I am not at my computer and doing this off top of my head let me know if you have an issues/problems.

Also there is a nice info view for coverflow in v4 but not in the build you have

Cheers

I can think of several reasons:
- there is Phoenix somewhere on the horizon. (The UI, not the API set.)
- Narflex has indicated that updating the UI is being seriously considered (See Brent's GeekTonic interview.)
- There was talk of another user-developed UI being worked on, I can't remember the name right now.
- My wife and kids like the default UI with FanArt.

Don't get me wrong, SageMC is very popular and powerful. It's just not for everyone.

ahh but it is all about the here and now

I will leave sagemc for ortus or phoenix I am sure maybe the default but it would have to be a huge overhaul in version 7 we will see. But for now tv explorer and sagemc is where it is at for me.

ps the wall will be on all the stv's if I can keep up

Sage Newbie here with an installation clarification question...

I have Sage installed with SageMC, BMT, etc.

I have read the install instructions and some of the clarifications for Media Wall, but I still need one point clarified:
Quote:
6. Import Sagemoivewallv1.xml from a blank sagemc xml. (by blank I mean one that doesn't already have a SMW any version imported over it.) Make sure you 5re using latest beta of Sage and Sagemc.
7. Import Sagemoivewallv3-b1.xml from a blank sagemc xml. (will not import over existing) Make sure you are using latest beta of Sage and Sagemc.
The only Sagemoviewall*.xml file I have is SageMovieWallv3R1.04.xml. However, I don't understand the "import" instruction.
Does that mean
My Menu -> Settings -> Detailed Setup -> Advanced -> Manage STVI plugins? If I do that I can't seem to select an XML file.

Or does it mean
My Menu -> Settings -> SageTV Application Package
And then select SageMovieWall3R1.04.xml?
If I do that it asks if I want to replace the current one.. Is that the right action?

It sounds like you haven't imported sagemc yes as your default stv? Do you have the sagemc screen or default screen?

SageMC is default.

And for the second option I meant:

My Menu -> Settings -> Detailed Setup -> Advanced -> SageTV Application Package

I have SageMC for everything but Detailed Setup which seems to switch out of SageMC to the standard interface (I thought that was normal)

Once you have SageMC running you don’t have to switch back to the default STV to import plug-ins that work with SageMC like SMW. SageMC acts differently in regards to how you import plugins.

First, make sure you are running the latest SageMC xml:

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38221

You load this from within SageMC:

My Menu >> Settings >> Load STV

To import SMW within SageMC navigate to:

My Menu >> Settings >> Import STVi

Then find the xml for SMW, or any other plugin that you wish to import…
