I have a HTPC w/ tuners connected to my TV acting as a Sage client/server, and a server in my office which is also a file server for media content.

I use WHS as a backup solution, all of the other things it can do aren't valuable to me (note, not valuable to me doesn't mean I don't see value in the features) so it's virtualized on my server.

NAS are slow, cheap storage; local fast storage is better for temporary content that has to undergo a lot of I/O.
