It's not the connected rate but the signal quality and latency that matters most. As you said 100Mbps is more than adequate for HD. The HD200 and the HDHR tuners use 100Mbps connection. 70% quality isn't great for video streaming and how well does it maintain that? Typical 802.11n is 144Mbps with a max rate of 600Mbps. Distance max is 300 feet but at that distance the thruput drops to 1Mbps. If the quality fluctuates then the latency will increase. One of video's biggest enemy is latency.

When you say menus, are you referring to using the HD200 in extender mode? If so, have you made the registry tweak for Java Memory?

The distance is 30-40 feet. I'm going to try the dongle on the front USB port to see if it helps. Not sure what else I can try.

I'm having a problem with wireless connectivity and have discovered from the log files that my time is about 6 hours ahead on the hd200. Is there a way to correct it?

What firmware are you running on your HD200?

I was running the latest beta 20100208 0, but when I could not get the adapter to work I went back to the latest non beta firmware(20090903 0)
