The only channels that should have ANY number or name information, and be enabled, are the channels you intend to use. HDHR maintains its own channel list. It does not use the SCN and FRQ files directly (Sage just uses them fro knowing what freq's to tell to the HDHR).
Thanks; I was thinking that.

I think I did that when I edited the Digital_Cable.xml file after running the HDHR ch setup; I removed all entries which had 'false'. (Unchecked channels)

link to my Digltal_Cable.xml file / no WRCDT3(207)

Last Night's Test.

One Tuner. 12hours. 8 shows. 3 recorded WRCDT3(ch207) and other others recorded WRCDT(ch211).

All should have been WRCDT(ch211).

The WRCDT3(ch207) shows were in the middle of the WRCDT(ch211) recordings

I checked the detailed info for each show and confirmed all recorded using the one tuner.

first off, stop editing the config files manually, there is no need to do that. Just make the changes in the HDHR software, and see how that works.

For the first two weeks of the past 5 wks(and since June'09), I didn't edit the files, only for the past 3wks.

Now, for the past 2 wks, first I test, I don't edit, then when the problem happens again(which it always does), I edit to remove what isn't needed.

Doing a test since yesterday with a new created HDHR channel file which has not been edited. Setup to record WRCDT(ch211) for a number hours to see if WRCDT3(ch207) shows up.

Still wondering if any tuning info is stored in Wiz.bin.

no, tuning info is not saved in wiz.bin. Sage uses the .frq files to determine what to tell the HDHR, which then uses it's own config to do the actual tuning. All that is stored in the wiz.bin in regards to channel changing is the actual guide info.

Thumbs up

Turns out the problem was with SageTv trying to select the Channel by name, the HDhomerun is returning Ch names and SageTv was using what it thinks is the request ch, which it not the correct ch.

Per the fix given here (beta SageTv forum post), SageTv now uses the Ch # information to select the correct channel if the channel name requested is not returned by the hdhomerun.

Been using this fix since Tuesday at 530pm. Doing recordings 24/7 since for WRCDT (ch211), I have not had any incorrect recordings.

Added: I made no changes to the setup other then adding the beta files, no channel scans done. It all just worked after dropping in the beta files.
