Anyway to make the new AC3 the default audio after it has been created?

New switch -defAc3Lang=<value> Example: -defAc3Lang=en will set the new english generated track as the default one. Any good mkv player should prefer the track that has his 'default' flag set. Mike

I think we may need to request a change from Sage to respect the default flag. I am using SageMC so not sure if maybe the change could be made there instead. Dave |

Ooops! Where does this leave Sage since they apparently don't look at the default tag? lol

SJQ v3
Thanks for this great tool - I can get it working from the command line but when I use it with SJQ v3 it fails. Here's a sample of my failed task log:

This is a great tool.
Tried it with one of my movies, it created the AC3 track as track 2, as expected. When I tried playing the movie I could not select the AC3 track to playback (I tried the Audio button on the remote and nothing was in the options menu to change audio streams either.) I checked the file using media info and the track was there. I ended up using MKVtoolnix to change the order of the audio tracks. and once the AC3 track was number 1 it all played fine. Is there anyway that this tool could modify the order of the tracks or strip out the DTS if possible?

Did you get Sage to rescan the import folders after adding the AC3? - that may have been needed.

I'll let it sit for a while. I have both tracks in just have put the AC3 as track 1. I also tried changing the DTS track to be an English track as well (instead of und). That didn't help right off the bat.

After the file was scanned again by Sage it picked up the audio, but I'm not sure if that was because I also changed the language type to eng from und. We'll see what happens. Of course the file that won't work will be the one the wife is going to watch.

Mike, Thanks for the utility! Just what I needed!
I got it working just how I want it but, I'm having trouble, I think from not knowing MS cmd to well.. When I ran a few tests I copied a few mkvs to directory "F:\test" and it worked. Now that I'm confident on what I'm doing, I want to run it on all my movies. I pointed audioconvert to "F:\HD MOVIES\HD Movies" but it tells me its an invalid directory. Is it the spaces between "HD Movies" that makes it an invalid directory? |
