I cared about the product but not about the oversize text which cuts off listings view of Videos. Unit does display 1080P very well on HDTV. It won't resize the video if it was shot in 4:3 format so your stuck with 4:3 ratio. I've even set the unit to display at 16:9. There is a lot you have to do one the Windows 7 system to get the MediaMVP HD to find the files you want to use with it. To me it has a very hard time doing so. Windows Search and UPnP have to be enabled otherwise the unit can't find anything you want to play on the network.
I have MediaMVP running SageTV license I had purchased to run SageTV on them as the Extender and no way you can compare the interface of the old and new plus without SageTV running on the MediaMVP - HD is just a gizmo for now. I can FF under SageTV by 256x the max the MediaMVP - HD can do it 16x much improved by the old Hauppauge Server days. |
