Anyone care to chime in on this that was in beta?
It is actually not Blu Rays but instead Blu Ray rips (i.e. mkv or m2ts) which is why I use MPC HC. I don't want to take this thread off topic so I will create a new thread to see what folks are doing.

I can't wait until this is out, and SageTV v7. Is there anything I can start doing now to prepare for the public release of MyMovies?

My guess would be to install MyMovies collection manager, and start importing your collection?

I've found moviepostersdb.com to be a good source for posters although I do not know if you can automatically pull from there.

Those are coming from mymovies webserver. Although they do have a point requirement like backdrops. You will be able to download your own as well. The mymovies ones are automatic if you meet the point requirement.

Plucky,

For those who will download their own backdrops can you confirm what the naming convention will be, is it just fanart.jpg?

Yeah I think xbmc does fanart.jpg (not sure about media browser) and mymovies does the backdrop.jpg

so if you have backdrop.jpg you will be good to go.

If you haven't noticed yet, Plucky is one of the most accommodating devs working on sagetv plugins...... Please, I beg you all, stop asking for additional options prior to an actual release or we'll never see this thing released.

Probably a dumb question...but what/where is MyMovies collection manager. At work now, but don't remember seeing it in the V7 plug-in manager. Is it a standalone install...just not sure

Ah he was just asking to make sure he was doing it right. And the addition of fanart.jpg would have literally taken 30 seconds as it would have just been another check in the equation when grabbing fanart.

trust me new options/things are not being added right now but getting put on the list (after release list mostly)

the first release will be dumbed down to some extent.

http://www.mymovies.dk/download.aspx

is it a separate metadata fanart grabber it is not part of sagetv or the plugin system. This addin will be part of the plugin system but you still need to setup your collection using it.

If you were really joking you would have said something like:

How Do We Know The Indians Were Here First?

They Had Reservations!!!

Launch video in external program (V6 only?)

Plucky
You had previously stated that you would keep the functionality of launching videos in an external player which I think comes from SageMC. With SageMC not being ported to v7 will this functionality be in SMM? Also SageMC with dynamic menu's gives the ability to create filtered video menus which works with SMW? Will SMM have this ability?
