I'm just really confused, because when i first installed this, and didnt have mirage on my phone yet, i could stream on the native player, but it looked horrible. now that doesnt work anymore. now when i hit stream, it says unable to connect to server.

EDIT: Does it say somewhere which profile corresponds with which setting? i would like to manually configure them it i could to try and see if i could get it to work.

Have you forwarded the port 554 or such used by VLC? You can also enable debugging and check the log, or install an Android log collector.

Version 1.0 of VLC has been reported as the most compatible... So you probably want to try it first, then you can try the others if you want. Just keep in mind that each release of VLC breaks something else...

I stuck with 1.0.0 every other version I tried had issues. The first profile in the list is default, that much I know, I found a default that worked and use that one or Mirage.

OK, i think I have everything set up correctly and working great. Now when i play back on my 4G the video looks great but it seems to like stop for a second then continue. Does this mean I need to enter a delay?

Also will a delay work if i select it, but if I have not registered?

Keep in mind that TaSageTV offers half a dozen streaming options, so be more specific when you ask a question... The streaming delay is only useful for people where the media player would shut itself off before the VLC streaming was actually started.

No that's not limited in the unregistered version. For Mirage, you'll need to troubleshoot with either the Mirage author or the iOS streaming plugin author...

I justdidnt know what the streaming delay did.

My videos play @ 3G and 4G, but when they are playing they freeze, then continue throughout the whole movie.

Anybody managed to get this to work on a honeycomb tablet (e.g. ASUS Transformer)?

I can run it and get as far as streaming a TV program, but the sound is either off, or full volume. There are only two volumes levels!

Oh! and taSageTV force closes a lot, almost every time I press the back button in fact!

The volume issue could be mirage really as it crashes if I run it manually.

Anybody had any better success?

PS Tried VLC 1.0.0 and v.1.9 with the same result

Could you run a log collector (like aLogcat), then zip up and post that log so I can have a look?

Zipped log attached.

Actually there are two. The long one is when I started taSageTV after clearing the log, clcked TV, clicked recordings and it FC'd

Second I had taSageTV open already, clicked tV and a recording and clicked back at which point it FC'd and I was back at the start screen of taSageTV.

Hope these help!

How to configure clients?

are the images etc on the wiki uptodate?

Ive been trying to configure a client, but can only see "about","registration","Server settings". Nothing about clients at all that I can find!

Probably not all...

As long as you are running the latest SageTCPServer, there is nothing to configure for the Clients in TaSageTV itself... That would be through the SageTV plugin interface.

Your FC's seems to be related to database issues...

Had to do a rboot of my ASUS Transformer to get Wifi working again.

Now when I run taSageTV (1.73) it wont connect to anything.

aLogcat shows its giving
"Couldn't get I/O connection to 192.168.2.14:9250"
Ive confirmed that the SageTV server is listening on that port and that the Tablet can get to that IP address (opened a WebServer connection to the same machine)

Is there anything else I can do to find out whats missing?

OK, so on the tablet you were able to access 192.168.2.14:8080/apps or such for the jetty web server?

If you can post the sagetv_0.txt + aLogcat after a fresh start, so the interesting bits are still present, I'll take a look.

Ah! Never mind! Was about to, but after restart of SageTV to turn debugging on, its now working again

Just need to work out why sound doesnt sync in Mirage!
Might be that my 2GHz dual core SageTV server isnt fast enough to do the transcoding as Ive noticed the CPU usage is hitting 100% during playback on the tablet.

Is VLC still required? as far as I can tell it seems to be using SageTVtranscoder.exe as VLC doesnt appear to be running at all! (using SageTV v7.1.7)

I hate those unreproducible issues...

Right, at 100% CPU usage, who knows what gets sacrificed...

Only the first streaming option is using VLC, the 5 others are based on the Media Streaming plugin...
