OK, thanks, so I'll keep developing at the current resolution.

I tried replacing the "Video Library" command by "Library", but I got the same behavior, so I don't know how it does that...

- Should now remember the previous position in a list. (when going back, not forward...)

- Fix: there were various Playlist issues with an offline extender.

Just testing this now - the A-Z keys work on the hard keyboard, but backspace, space & enter don't work. Do you need a hard keyboard for this ? or is there a means to pull up the soft (on screen) one ?

Thanks

Good, that was the main point.

Right, I only used the "printable characters". I am not even sure if the numbers or special characters would work. I will most likely need to make special cases for the rest.

The idea was to use the hard one...

I guess I can use the on screen Sage bit for erase, enter etc. Its still quicker than trying to type a long string via the on screen keys.

OK, I just checking I didn't miss a way of pulling up the onscreen keyboard. Hard keyboard works well on my Milestone :-)

- Pressing Del, Enter or Space on the real keyboard should work properly.

That was quick

del & space work fine. I suspect enter does too but I thought it would be the same as 'done' on the online video search screen (Where I tested it) but it doesn't send the done command (Probably because its not the enter command)

Also, just noticed something about the notification icon - it can be cleared which means it disappears and you have to start the app again. I have a couple of other apps. (locale & beautiful widgets) which run constantly and they show as 'Ongoing' in the menu pull down as opposed to 'Notifications' and they don't get cleared. I guess it needs to be re-classified.

I'd like a notification though. Something like tuner errors, now recording, now viewing etc (Although the way my kids watch TV, I might need to turn it off !)

Just noticed another problem - Once I start typing on the keyboard the taSage remote stops responding and I have to restart the app.

Thanks

Could you send me a log collector for that? Not sure why it would act like that...

EDIT: Can't reproduce it with the emulator.

- Moved the client notification to ongoing.
- Fix: the Remote stopped working on orientation changes.

Anybody using this on Sage 7? Just wondering if it'll work with the new Sage beta, as I just got a Android phone, and would love to use this, but I've already upgraded to 7...

HTC Hero is 320x480. Android 2.1 (Sprint HTC stock, not rooted) has been available for some weeks now.

HTC EVO 480x800 (Android 2.1)

I just bought an HTC EVO. Best phone I've ever owned! I'm curious how well this app works on the newer android phones with higher res (480x800) displays.

Thanks for all your hard work to bring sageTV to android phones!

-Michael

Since at least one person reported still being on Android 1.5 and one having a 320x480 resolution, I am targeting those... Though I am using higher resolution images in some cases, and the fonts are "device independent", so everything is fine at 480x800. With Android 1.6+ I could target various resolution, but this will have to wait for the makers to jump from 1.5 to 2.1 on their older models...

I don't know if anyone else is still running 1.5, but I think I may have been the one to say I was running 1.5. I am now on 2.1, but sadly still 320x480 as no software upgrade will increase my resolution.

I checked back the thread, and it seems so...

I am planning to push the requirement to android OS 1.6, unless someone interested by taSageTV is still stuck with 1.5 and replies by the weekend... The main motivation is to be able to use different size of images for low/medium/high resolution.

I could use a bit of feedback from users regarding the UI/functionality/speed and such... Is any of the text too small/big (if so at which resolution)?

As for what is still on my "to do" list:

- Improved Photos/Recordings/Videos management. A cross between what I did for the Music and a file browser...

- Improved database usage.

- Search for upcoming TV shows/movies.

- Setup SageTCPServer as a SageTV v7.0 plugin.
