Certainly will do this if there's some interest. I'm grateful for all the work this outstanding group of Sage developers does and happy to help when I can.

still dumb as dirt.
I'm running SageTV v7. Here's my steps.
1) Setup 2) SageTv Plugins 3) Installed plugins (since I installed SRE) 4) Jetty Web Server by Jreichen version 2.0.1.19 enabled 5) Configure plug in on this screen I see the following categories with the following choices to the right Restart Web server - Restart Web server User - sage Password - ***** (if frey is default, why are there 5 "*"?) Enable SSL - false HTTP Port -8080 Internet connection - unavailable Log Level - INFO I'm lost at this point. I'm not complaining but wouldn't it be easier to create a subroutine to just ask for the user's google account info and insert it wherever Jetty/SRE needs it? I mean I used to write code and we had to idiot proof for an average user (like me). |

dumber than dirt part 2
STV then is generating a "General System Message" stating " The SRE plug needs a Google Account authorization token to operate. Please visit /sre/ within Jetty to configure.
I don't know how you guys watch any TV with the coding you're doing. LOL Thanks in advance. |

Something has broken my SRE plugin (probably me), and I'm not sure what to do to fix it. I have tried completely disabling the plugin, removing all traces of it in the sage directory and reinstalling. But I get an error when I go to the website and try and link the to get the code to link my google account I get "The call failed on the server; see server log for details."
When I look in the SRE log I see this. Code:

The livepvrdata4j.jar is missing in SageTV\JARs\ folder. Something has deleted it. Check your plugin manager. Go to library tab and make sure that the livepvrdata4j plugin is installed. If it's not, install it and restart SageTV. If it says it's installed then make sure the livepvrdata4j.jar file is in the JARs folder. It probably isn't (I've been seeing this issue with a lot of users lately - plugin install data gets corrupted/out of sync with the file system).
Assuming Sage thinks it's installed but the jar is missing then you have to uninstall the plugin (which will require you to uninstall SRE as well), restart Sage, reinstall SRE and then all should be good. If you install my Custom Events plugin, you'll get a system message in Sage anytime the plugin manager is not in sync with what's actually on your file system. The system message will tell you which files are missing for which plugins and then you can uninstall/reinstall the corrupted plugins.

FYI: NCAA College hoops support added (Men & Women)
Just a heads up that livepvrdata.com added support for NCAA Men's & Women's basketball earlier this evening. SRE should automatically start monitoring those events (no SRE upgrade required). Please let me know if you are not seeing NCAA hoops being monitored.

SRE is unable to monitor tonight's Leafs vs Bolts game. When I click on today's events it shows a whole bunch of NFL games but no hockey games. NFL games on Tuesday?
FYI I am using SRE 3.0.0.1186

NFL games show up on a Tuesday because the espn.com feed used to monitor the NFL games keeps the final scores from the previous week in the daily feeds until Wed, then it will switch it to the next week. This is normal. You'll see the same for NCAA football as well. EDIT: Parser for NHL is fixed. "Today's Events" on livepvrdata.com now showing NHL games properly. As I said, however, recordings that have already started will not be monitored unless you restart the recording.

Set Google account info.
I have not been able to find the option screen to enter my Google information as it states in the notice that keeps poping up.
Can you point me in the right direction. |

http://localhost:8080/sre/
Replace localhost with the hostname/ip of your Sage server and replace 8080 with the configured port that Jetty is running on.

Page not found
Slugger,
SRE says it is not found. When I look at the 8080 port and get teh following # / ---> org.mortbay.jetty.handler.ContextHandler@1bf0fd0{/,file:/C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/SageTV/SageTV/jetty/static} # /apps ---> org.mortbay.jetty.webapp.WebAppContext@18d70a6{/apps,C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV\jetty/webapps/apps.war} # /sre ---> org.mortbay.jetty.webapp.WebAppContext@60304b{/sre,C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV\jetty/webapps/sre.war} [failed] when I log into apps.war I get a failed in the middle of the screen The third line, SRE.war is not even a link |

Probably a jar has gone missing (plugins out of sync). You'll need to generate a Jetty debug log for me as described here.

WARNING: For those recording NHL Winter Classic today...
The game's been pushed back to 20:00 EST tonight instead of the originally scheduled 13:00 EST. The EPG data doesn't appear that it's going to be updated before 13:00 to reflect this change so if you start recording it at 13:00 then SRE will extend that recording all day long until the game finally ends at ~23:00 EST tonight (unless you've modified the max extension settings from the default values). Please be aware of this!!

@slugger - When SRE generates a message it shows up as a "General System Message". Is there any other classification more suitable like "Plugin Message"? If not should there be such a message type?
