I'm not getting any events when I go to http://myiport/sre/ and click on recording schedule. However, I do have shows queued up to record. For example, I have the NFL playoff games queued up to record, but they aren't showing up. Any thoughts on why this might be?

EDIT: I have attached my log file.

The H2 plugin is not enabled/working properly so SRE can't access its database. Fix H2 and the problem should be solved.

Ack. I tried to uninstall and re-install everything, and now the web interface won't load. This is my error:

The DataStore is failing still, which is H2. Is the h2 jar file in JARs? Can Sage write to SageTV/pluigins/sre/? Are the db files in that dir? Can they be written to by Sage? Is the H2 console available (http://host:8082/)? Something is wrong with H2, which is causing SRE to fail.

I see H2.jar and H2-1.2.145.jar in the JARS folder. the plugins/sre folder is NOT set to read-only. I am not sure what db files should be on that directory. I see some log files, a log properties file, sre.war, and sre.context.xml, nothing else.

The H2 console loads up fine.

I tried uninstalling H2 and reinstalling, after I uninstalled SRE, and that did not work.

EDIT: Is there any way to do a total, complete uninstall of SRE and H2? Obviously something is left behind when you uninstall because otherwise this would be fixed.

EDIT 2: I figured it out. I noticed in the H2 config screen that it said that it conflicted with squeezebox server. I uninstalled the squeezebox server (I was just testing it, I never use it), and SRE was working again. Thanks for your help Slugger.

I am running the latest version of Sage (v7.0.23) and SRE is not working properly. I would like to uninstall and start over, but that is not an option when clicking on the plugin from the Sage UI. So my question is, how do I uninstall it manually?

Manual uninstallation is not a good idea. You'll end up corrupting the core's plugin file list (i.e. the core will think that something is installed when it really isn't). It sounds like you may already be in that situation. If clicking on the plugin doesn't give you the option to uninstall then that's a bug with the core and will require a support request with Sage.

What do you mean it doesn't work? The web ui won't load? Games aren't being monitored? Both?

Sorry, should have given a little more detail. I see SRE listed in my Jetty Web Apps. When I click on it, it loads the UI okay. However, when I click on "Recording Schedule" there are no shows/games listed. I had this working fine on a beta installation of Sage v7, but somewhere along the line it broke. My SRE version says it is 3.0.0.1186. I am not at home now, but could provide log files later. Where are they located for SRE?

SageTV\plugins\sre\sre.log

This sounds very familiar. My guess is it's a problem with the H2 database server. The logs will give a definitive answer. Did you recently install squeezebox on the system? There's a port conflict between squeezebox and H2 that causes problems with connecting to H2. Anyway, have a look at the log first and see what it has to say.

So I was able to uninstall and reinstall SRE by remoting into the server. That did not fix my issue however. I have attached the log. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

As I suspected, H2 is broken. Either you've uninstalled the H2 plugin, disabled it, it's broken or you've installed squeezebox on the same server and there's a port conflict. SRE will not work until you fix H2. Once H2 is fixed, SRE will start to work again.

Slugger, thanks. I have SqueezeCenter installed, but it is not running and I never have it running anymore (guess I could uninstall it if need be). The SageTV H2 Database is installed and enabled. I tried uninstalling it so that I could reinstall, but Sage would not let me due to a Phoenix API dependency. What should I do to get this configured correctly? Thanks for all your help.

I changed the H2 port to 9093 and rebooted the Sage service and that seemed to do the trick. Will this wreak havoc on any of the other plugins that utilize the H2 database?

As long as other plugins that use H2 don't hardcode the port that it's running on... time will tell. SRE (and any of my other plugins that use H2) will handle a port change with no issues.

Thanks again. One last thing. I was trying to get the SRE UI working on my Client. However, when I go to install the "SRE UI for SageClients" and click on the "Install Client Plugin" option, it gives me an error of "Done - Failed - Dependency: ServerOnly". I was able to install the regular "SRE UI" on an extender with no problems. I could not find a thread for the UI plugin, so I am posting it here. Any suggestions?

Will have to ask tmiranda about that, not sure. I don't use SageClients at all so can't test it. I'd open a ticket for it.

Thanks. Where should I 'open a ticket'? I am not aware of a forum thread for the UI and I am thinking Sage wouldn't support it since it is a plugin. I guess I could just PM tmiranda directly.

Required override for Sunday's NHL all star game

So no one interested is surprised by a system message ~30 minutes before the game starts, you will need an override for Sunday's all star game if you wish to monitor it. The required override is:

Title: NHL Hockey
Episode: Team Lidstrom vs. Team Staal

When asked by SRE, please do NOT add a global override; it'll save me the hassle of having to cleanup the online map later on. Thanks.

EDIT: It seems nhl.com is not playing nice and has changed the scoreboard format for the all star game. As of this moment, monitoring will not work for the all star game. If I'm around long enough this weekend I'll try to fix it before the game starts, otherwise ensure your default padding it set appropriately in your SRE settings.

EDIT: The NHL parser is fixed on livepvrdata.com to handle the all star game. Set the override as described above and monitoring for all star game will work fine.
