I think it might be this one in the client properties file, but I don't remember for sure:
Code:
videoframe/autoplay_next_music_file=false

Works well (better than the stock music player anyway!). Might be worth highlighting this on the first post setup details, and the other property (host) you have to set on a client. I had to read around a bit more than some are willing to bother with...

I have the media jukebox installed on the file server. I have installed jrmc plugin in sage 7.19. I have changed the settings in hte sageclient.properties to the ip address of my file server which also runs mediajukebox 14. When I click on my playlist in sage it switches to the screen that shows it playing but I get no sound or progress bar. Any ideas? I had previously installed it on my sage server/client and it worked fine but the system wouldn't go nto sleep mode unless I shut off mediajukebox 14. I was hoping I could have mediajukebox on the file server in hopes it would not stop my sage server from sleeping.

Did you follow the "Required One-Time JRMC/Jukebox Setup" for your file server? You have to do this wherever you are running the JRMC "server" .

I have a copy of sage on my file server that I use to test anything I do so that when I apply it to my sage server I know I won't screw up my perfectly running sage server. This means that in mediaserver 14 plugin is installed on my file server and points to my file server not my sage server. I can see the albums, artists and music files on my sage server but when I hit play The play screen comes up but I have no progress bar and the music doesn't play. I am thinking that this line "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\RegAsm.exe" /codebase "c:\program files\sagetv\sagetv\jrmcserver\SageJRMCServer.dll" may have to be modified so that it is pointing to my sage server. I am having to do this because installing mediaserver 14 on my sage server stopped it from entering sleep mode. I am hoping I can use it by having media server 14 on my file server.
I did do the initial setup options on my file server and changed the setting in the sageclient properties to point to the ip address on my sage server. I also did the setup config on my sage server.

It sounds like you might have some path problems. The Sage plugin plays the file from the path it gets from the Media Jukebox library. So, if you look at Media Jukebox on your file server the 'Filename (path)' fields for your files need to have a shared network path that can be resolved from your Sage server (can't be a local path or some unshared network path).

All my music is in a shared folder named music. All music is in subfolders. I made sure the folder in mediaserver 14 is the correct one but it still won't play. They all show up properly and the covers are there but when I hit play it goes to the play screen and nothing happens. I initially installed the Mediaserver software and plugin onto my sage server first then removed it. Could this have created a list of music files that may be compromising the path to the music files?

It uses the library for metadata and thumbnails so you will get this information no matter what. However, when Sage goes to play it has to have direct access to media files. What does it say for one of your files in the 'Filename (path)' tag inside Media Jukebox on your file server (not Sage server)?

I don't know if this might be an issue, but Media server 14 only sees the sage tv on my file server, it doesn't see my sage server?

I think "E:\Music\" is the problem since unless you happen to have this file locally on your Sage server at the exact same location it won't be able to access and play it. You will have to replace this with a shared network path which you can do pretty easily with the tag Find/Replace tool in JRMC, however, I'm not sure if that is included in the free Media Jukebox (and I'm not sure of the exact name of it since I'm no longer using JRMC). In any case, you would uncheck all the fields except 'Filename (path)' and would do a replace of 'E:\Music\' with something like '\\SERVERNAME\Music\'.

I don't really understand what you're saying. Media Jukebox doesn't look for Sage at all - it is the other way around. Also, note that you can run Media Jukebox without Media Server which might fix your sleep problems.

That does make sense. Thanks, I'll give that a try

I deleted all files in the library and removed the folder. I then added the network share folder and that took care of it. It was the file path causing the problem. Thanks!

Using JRMC with placeshifter
Is there any way to use JRMC with the Sagetv 7 placeshifter. When I select the music menu item, it says there are none. I checked the properties file and there is no place to enter the ip address of the Media player and music location.

I am now taking it for granted that JRMC cannot be configured to work with a placeshifter as I haven't gotten any response on it. If there is a way to do it, please let me know. It is not really that big a deal as I can still play music with the sage interface but JRMC works so much better.

I'm pretty sure that Placeshifter works just like the extenders which I used all the time with the JRMC plugin. If you can get the plugin to work in SageTV on the server then it will work in Placeshifter. It might be a case of not having your plugin menu items ("library shortcuts") set up properly.

I did all the setup steps on the server and it works great and i love it. Problem is when I click on music in placeshifter it says file not found. I went into the sage properties and entered the ip address of the server with jrmc on it and it still doesn't work. the server with jrmc is not the sage server. Maybe I need to enter the sage server ip address?
