I upgraded BMT to 4.2 recently and just now went into the WebUI to see about an issue with FanArt crosslinking... In doing so, it appears that the scanning of folders is still having issues (at least for me...). It simply stops with the cancelled message.

Jason, another user has reported the same issue. Unfortunately, I don't see any indication in your logs of a problem. I am seeing some updates, but i don't know if they are manual or just a result of a scan. I need to investigate this issue further, but unfortanately, i'm not having much time lately. I'll try to get a new build out this weekend some misc fixes... hopefully I can reproduce and get this fixed by then as well.
