Thank you. BTW there is one other observation: If I turn on TV viewing first, which is AVR on CBL/Cable Box On/TV On-HDMI2, and then go to Sage viewing, which is AVR on VCR/DV/TV On-HDMI2/Sage On/Cablebox off, then the problem happens about 20% of the time. But if I go directly to Sage viewing from everything being off then the problem happens 90-95% of the time and it does not seem to matter the order in which things were turned off.

The problem follows the unit and I can replicate the problem by simply changing the TV input from HD300 to some other component and then when I go back the signal is lost and the unit has to be power cycled. Any other ideas?

Are you talking about firmware for the HD300? Have you tried it yet?

If there is a newer version it is not out there yet. When I checked my system said that it was the latest version.

So far it seems that the new version of firmware has fixed the problem. Sometimes it will say No Signal BUT after a few seconds it gets the signal and starts up. Way better than it was.
The HD300 is now back downstairs in the main viewing area! The audio wierdness is still there. What I mean is that if I set the output resolution to 1080p59.97 or 1080p24 I will get audio drop outs on SD recorded mpeg files. If I set it to 1080i or 480p then the drop outs go away. Thanks for the help on this.

I didn't help really but so far for me is seems to have gone away as well. I am not callig it fixed until I give it a couple of days I believe it had to do with the hdmi state getting set wrong on turnoff (that is what support said)
Let's both hope |

Heat was killing mine. I've got mine sitting on top of a laptop cooler. Between that, and the cooler weather, mine has been rock solid. I think mine will become unusable again by April/May, even with the laptop cooler. But I'm enjoying it for now anyways.

Mine locks up only rarely -- but now that I've read this post I realized that it's primarily in the hotter summer months.
Laptop cooler! I didn't think of that!
