Any chance you have setup a password on SageTCPServer, entered it in TaSageTV, but not TiSageTV?

Thanks, but I did not have a password on SageTCPServer. But just for kicks and giggles I entered a password on the server and both Ti and TaSage devices and I got the same results...anything else you would have me look at?

You could enable the debug for SageTCPServer and SageTV itself, connect with TiSageTV and attach the sagetv_0.txt log file. If you have setup the server for external/3G access, you could pm the server name/port/password and I can see if I get the same issue...

Well boss, I got home tonight and played with TiSage on my iPhone and it has not dropped a connection for over three hours...don't have a clue what changed...but happy to let it be for now. Thanks as always! Love the application!

Limit to videos?

Hello Fonceur. Is there a limit to the number of videos that TiSage will hold? My video library was out of synch, so I went to the Information section and used the "Wipe TiSageTV's database" button. I can then go back to Media Center/Videos and it will load 894 videos. I can selecte the "Sorted by Folder" view and everything looks to be there. When I select "Sorted by Title", I get about a three second pause and then it crashes. Any ideas? Thanks.

Not really, it can access a collection of 45k songs from a user just fine...

I'd say just try again, and see if it happens all the time or if it was a one time glitch. If it's reproducible and you have the external/3G access setup, pm me the SageTCPServer info and I can try to connect to it and debug...

It's consistent. This will give me a good excuse to set up 3G. Will ping you back when done.

OK, I will need a copy of your sagetv_0.txt log file with the video sync in it. For some reason the Title of "The big bang theory season 3 gag reel" is empty, which is why it's crashing trying to get the first letter of the Title... What is producing the metadata for that specific file, if any? Which version of SageTV is running?

EDIT: Try SageTCPServer 2.3.0, it should work around that metadata issue.

The gag reel was an "extra" from the Big Bang series. I made up the metadata (I believe using BMT, earlier version) so it would look better in the Imported TV listing.

The new TCPServer 2.3.0 seemed to fix the issue. I can upload the sagetv_0 log file, but the real issue may have spun off. I'll send the last two. Had to use 7Zip to get under the file size limits.

So far I'm very impressed with the app This really helps control my 3 different devices from one location. Another plus is that I no longer have to turn on a tv in order to navigate my music and play through my stereo
Here are a couple of things on my wish list
1. When surfing music by album, it would be really nice to be able to click on one of the songs and play it directly.
2. When picking on recorded shows, the ability to add multiple shows to the play now playlist. (I like to put a couple of cartoons for my kids to watch where they automatically play one after the other.)
3. On the remote-an enter button on each page, I'm finding I have to go back and forth to click the enter button.
4. In photos-surf to a folder and be able to click a slideshow button to see it start playing on the tv.

I know this is still in development, but what I would like to see is the ability to control all aspects of my extenders without picking up my sagetv remote, or even have to have the tv on. Keep up the good work!!!!

Also, if I get an android tablet, will I have to purchase all over again?
Thanks

Right, the Android version has that, since you can drill drown to individual songs, but it would be trickier here.

I've only enabled adding music to playlist, but it should be possible to do it for video files too (I think the Android version has that option), as long as you don't try to mix both in a single playlist.

Right, it is annoying deleting a recording and having to go to the first Remote control screen to accept it. I'll see what I can squeeze in...

I've tried doing fancier stuff with the photos before, but never had much luck...

They are separate entities indeed. Apple makes it impossible to even know who has purchased a copy of the app or to communicate with them, like say to answer to a review...

Great, thanks for the reply. On the photos you could make it like CSI, when you see it on your ipod and then do a flick motion and it shows up on your tv......that would impress

It's so tempting on the music issue, I can see the song, but no way to play it....it's like it's taunting me.
thanks again!!!

Partly addressed in 1.44...

Version 1.44

- Switched to a more efficient way of drawing the blue gradient background.
- Updated the Remote control on the iPhone/iPod touch.

I can connect to a server via WiFi and 3G - and can stream content through TiSageTV, but I can't seem to connect to any of my clients. Where do I troubleshoot that? Is it in the setup on SageTCPServer or on the iPad app itself?

First are you seeing a list of clients? Second are their ports (926x) opened through your firewall/router?

I was seeing a complete list of clients - just couldn't seem to connect to them.
So I took your suggestion, looked up which ports were being used by the clients in the SageTCPServer settings and did the port forward thing on my router. That did the trick.

Thanks!

iOS 5 ?

Hi,
Streaming do not work anymore on my iPad or iPhone after upgrading to iOS 5, on the iPhone even the Stream button disappeared. Is this a known bug?

I haven't actually installed the iOS5 development kit, so I don't know what kind of backward compatibility Apple just screwed up with it, sorry... I guess it's time to instal XCode 4.2 and find out...
