I guess this is irrelevant now.. but

I only discovered the hidden features nearly a year into using sage. couldn't get by without them now ( 5309 why doesn't everyone guess that. I mean it's obvious).

also videos of setting up sagetv would have been good when I was a n00b.

Hey Guys,

I've been using Sage for 6 months now and have spent the same amount of time waiting for updates to support desired cards.

I'm growing bored and frustated waiting for this blog. So, now that I have a little free time for a personal project I want to create a database of users systems and the cards they are using to see what works and what doesn't.

I'm currently designing a database for the data. I'm also going to throw together a quick form for collecting data.

Hopefully with the help of users on this forum we can spread the word and try and collect as much data as possible. If it looks like a popular concept then i'll create a nice frontend with search etc..

maybe a little late now that Sage aren't selling new units (right??) but it could still be a worthwhile exercise..

What do you guys think? If anybody is interested then send me a pm.

I'm not sure where it has gone but I doubt there will be an official one setup now as a result of the Google buyout.

As long as there is a community of users I think a blog/wiki will always have a place.

"It" being an OFFICIAL blog is what I meant by no longer being pertinent.

Sure, there's nothing stopping anyone creating/hosting/maintaining a(nother) blog/wiki on SageTV (see also: http://sagetv.wikispaces.com/).

Though I stand by my response as to why this thread was unstickied

Sure, you are correct. I mixed this thread up with another one I was thinking of.

An official blog is never gonna happen now, I guess.

Thanks for the wiki link I hadn't seen that.
