Thanks skateni !!!

Nice document and useful to me to try in HK. Otherwise, I will have to give up SageTV ... I buy it ...

I hope the free-of-air guide will be available very soon.

I did it!! I have edited the following
mmc/country_code=852,F_UNI_CABLE,F_UK_BROAD,PAL_I,//Hong Kong SAR

in Sage properties file and it works. Though I do not know how to change names of those channels, I can watch free-on-air TV now. I don't have time to study XMLTV, so I am still not using EPG.

I will try cable later. I am not sure which model & brand of box is used by Hong Kong Cable TV but it has 9-pin serial. I hope I can manage to change channel using the serial port instead of IR Blaster ... I cannot find IR Blaster in HK.

Well done horse ... If you have a cablebox, I'm sure the make and model is printed on it somewhere. Yeah I know IR Blasters are a little hard to come buy in Asia so I'm bringing some in ( though I'd love to bring in the USBUIRT, it costs as almost as much as the unit itself in shipping . If you already have a serial port on it, most probably you can. Just do a net search of you make and model and might strike gold

I don't think SageTV supports unicode. I have some program descriptions in Big5 and get junk ( or maybe it's some Java settings that needs to be turned on ?? ).
