"images" files to ignore Fanart
I don't know if this is a BMT issue but today I noticed that Fanart wasn't showing up for a bunch of files, including some where I just downloaded Fanart by entering a URL in the BMT Fanart UI. It turns out that the Fanart folders had a file called images which seems to sell Sage to ignore certain Fanart files.
What creates these files and what is the purpose of them? And how do you know that they are not being spuriously created? I am guessing it is created to ignore corrupt files but several dozen poster files that have not given me problems in the past were flagged in these images files.

I've seen this before and I THINK it is for stuff that has already been downloaded so it does not download them again? Or maybe if you have a limit of 5 (or any other number) and once it downloads that number, any other are put in there to ignore.
Just assumptions on my part and not sure which case (if either even) may be the reason |

Quote:
BMT creates the images files as a means to track while files have been downloaded for fanart so that it doesn't re-download the files again. It doesn't track corrupt files, etc, but rather every file. WIthout this file, if you were to delete some fanart file, and the eventually they might get downloaded again.
