so, i found that i had no email address in SRE config and added that.
not sure if related, but current game worked fine and some future games also went green. for the ones that stayed with a red !, i turned monitor off then on again and then they also went green. so, was the addition of an email address important or something else/random? i also turned logging from 'info' to 'debug' but no other changes.

I took a look at the code. The email address is longer used for anything.
Did you happen to restart Sage after any of those changes? I'm wondering if a restart fixed things. |

don't remember if i restarted, but it is possible. i also turned on debug logging, so i'll dig that up soon.
thanks for looking at the code...........working well right now.

Just setting this up on my V9 server (unRaid Docker). I have the jetty application working, I see sports events under tower:8080/livepvrdata/events.
I have no sports recording yet, but most of my shows are marked with a yellow triangle. I don't think this is normal, looking back up the thread. Any helpful suggestions welcome.

did you change the plugin setting to have it look for tower? I think the default is local host. I forgot to change that too when I first did my system! :-) |

I tried the default initially, and then changed it to tower, and tried that, I think I have changed it back to localhost now. I'll try it again. Do I need to restart between changes?

You may have to restart. I had to change my port because 8080 was used for something else. You also might try using the direct IP of tower. Good luck |

San Diego to Los Angeles Chargers name change?
Would it be possible to have San Diego Chargers modified to Los Angeles Chargers in sre, or is this something we should be maintaining ourselves in local files now?
Curious, and just in case I miss a manual override.

Yes. Thanks for the reminder. I'll make sure to get a new version of the livepvrdata server out with this change.

I’ve used SRE for a while now, but what I have noticed and I think this is since I switched to the open source version of sage, is that instead of extending and keeping all of my recording in one file the system does extend the recording but creates a new file based on what that time slot is. For example, Eagles vs Panthers game last night instead of having a file that included the whole game, I have the game ending maybe 40 minutes before it should have and then getting another file for CBS news so although I have the entire game I would have thought I would have it all in one. Maybe this is something I’m overlooking in my sage config settings beyond SRE or am I just mistaken and it’s always been this way?

I've noticed the same on MLB games but not NBA games.

So, somehow my SRE went south on me. As far as I know, I have it configured correctly, but it no longer extends games.
Configuration: https://www.screencast.com/t/f7XHIXRBpU Live PVR Data Subsite: https://www.screencast.com/t/u7g3Df9y4fmG SRE.log file: https://www.screencast.com/t/wllObI8jBtC Any ideas?? The only thing that I can think of is that the guide says "West Virginia at Pittsburgh" while the subsite reads: "Pitt vs. West Virginia". Not sure how it matches up teams, but could it be an at/vs issue? |

I did not add an override for the Pittsburgh game, but I have added them in the past for college basketball games without success. In this case however, the other 2 games did not need overrides. Let me know if there is anything I can try to resolve the issue. (I can only record OTA games so my tests will be limited to the weekend.) |

College Basketball livepvrdata
It looks like the livepvrdata/events for college basketball includes only the games for the teams ranked Top 25. Is there any way to update it to include *all* college basketball games?

This is still an issue for me with college basketball (no trouble with NFL). The Butler vs. Villanova game today started at 12PM ET. It is now 1PM ET and the game isn't being monitored (see attached livepvrdata screenshot). Quote:

SRE works great currently for NHL games and worked fine for NFL and college football during their seasons. |

If someone wants to test, attached is a SageTVPluginsDev.xml that will update to pull all Division-I Men's College Basketball. (Rather than just the Top 25.) Remove the .txt extension and drop in your SageTV folder. Then go the to plugins screen and you will see an update for Live PVR Data Server to version 1.5.
I don't think this will fix the monitoring issue. I'm still investigating that as I have time. |

Ignore that test version... I found the problem with College Basketball monitoring. I'll get an update out ASAP.
Edit: Update submitted. As soon as it is accepted, version 1.5.1 of Live PVR Data Server will be available. It should fix the issue (and allow monitoring of all Division-I games). Last edited by skiingwiz; 02-10-2018 at 11:21 PM. |
