Thanks!

I ran into some problems. Selecting your IR files didn't work at all at first. It looks like you are using multi-zone. After deleting "Z1" it started working... sort of.

It changes channels, but not to the correct channels. It's a little hard to troubleshoot, but it looks like it is catching the last one or two digits (e.g., tuning to 902 brings me to channel 2).

It's been a while since I've played around with the USB-UIRT settings. I distinctly remember running into problems getting it set up, but I can't remember what those problems were, or how I fixed them.

I can't seem to find any documentation for the IR file format. What do the numbers in the first line show? Your first line is very different than mine. In case it helps, I've pasted my current IR file below.

My remote codes look similar to yours, but they don't quite match. Is that normal? And is MEXIT a command by itself, or merely Menu+Exit concatenated together? I assumed it was merely a concatenation, but that doesn't seem to match your IR codes (the first half looks pretty close to Menu, but the second half looks kind of different from Exit).

Code:
QIP 0 0 3 600 800 Select

Did you set the irtune_prefix_extra_delay=1000 in sage.properties? If you don't do that, the Menu-Exit may interfere with the 1st digits. IR stuff has a wide tolerance of 10%, so differences in some of the hex numbers probably don't matter. I am using zones 1 & 2 as I have two QIP7100's. I also have IR receiver cables plugged into the back of the QIP's which are connected to IR emitters plugged into the USB-UIRT via a splitter cable.

Changing that setting in my sage.properties didn't fix that problem- I had to increase the delay between codes. It's at 500ms now, and it seems to be working just fine. Hopefully this will fix the STB problems I've been having.

Thanks!

Update: after many months with no problems whatsoever, this morning I got a FIOS message on my STB indicating that the STB does not have a data connection - "Press INFO for more information". The MEXIT sequence is not able to get the STB out of this screen, so I had to physically press the INFO button, which leads me to some questions: (1) Is there anyway to automate periodically sending the IR code for INFO, delaying then sending another INFO to back out? I think this would be a harmless action which would, in combination with the MEXIT, make FIOS STB management pretty solid. Or (2) Is there anyway to get SageTV to manually send the IR code for INFO (it's in the .IR file) via some menu?
