Any suggestions on a waterproof remote control that works with Sage?

I have a TV in my pool cabana that swings out and is viewable from the swimming pool. I would like to be able to control Sage while in the pool which would require a waterproof remote control.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to use for this purpose? Waterproof remotes are easy to find but it looks like most of them are just for TVs and are the type where you enter a code for your TV (ie. RCA is 0001). For Sage you would need a remote that can learn IR signals. Ideally the remote would also have FF and Skip Fwd buttons as I use those all of the time.

Replace the batteries to brand new one, pay a visit to your local butcher shop and have the SageTV remote vacuum-sealed to medium pressure to allow buttons still being operational, cut around for a clean finish. You should be OK for a couple of years, then repeat procedure with new batteries.

You can use any remote you wish if you have a USB UIRT. Sage can remap the keypresses to a command internally, or Event Ghost can intercept the keypresses and send standard Sage commands.

I use an HD-300 extender in the pool cabana but I do have the IR bug for it so that I don't need LOS to the extender, just to the IR bug.

An iPhone in a Lifeproof case which is waterproof running a SageTV remote app. I think that would make an awesome pool side romte plus there are other apps which make come in handy like Roku remote etc.

I wonder if they make Lifeproof case for iPod cuz it would also make a good remote if you don't want to use a phone as remote.
