DVD Standard 3.25gb/hr

Howdy folks,
I've been recording at the standard DVD quality and am now trying to burn DVDs with Ulead Movie Factory. It keeps insisting on re-encoding the files which is taking forever. Is there a way around this? I thought that when recording at a DVD quality setting that I would just be able to burn DVDs straigh away.

Any info would be great.

I don't use Ulead because I quite frankly don't care for the tool. I am able to burn to DVD though.. here's my setup:

Encoding Quality: DVD Extra Long Play ~ 1.8gb / Hr

I edit the commercials out of the videos using Womble
I then utilize Roxio DVD Builder to create the DVD's

Roxio still has to "encode" the videos, but I think it's more saying that than actually doing anything due to the ammount of time it takes (about 2-3 minutes for a 30minute show.)

Look into VideoReDo. It's great!

edit the videos with either VideoReDo or Womble MPEG2VCR
then use Ulead to burn
just uncheck the reencode mpeg complaint files!
