my sagetv server is an old compaq p3 and it is also my internetserver with desknow workgroup and email server and print server and antivirus server and streaming server and...and...and...

this server comes never over 40-50% cpu.

sagetv (2.2.2) run very well, but when the wiz.bin is corrupted...then 100% cpu , but after 4 or 5 hours the cpu goes back to 2%.

i think it comes not only from sage that the cpu is high.

greetings from germany

I recently installed a PVR-150 and I have started having a 100% CPU problem. In, my case, the system process is the culprit. Any one else seeing this problem? My SageTV server was super stable before this.

I pulled out my PVR-150 because, I along with several others, were having the same problems including reboots after the 100% CPU cycle

PVR-250 not much better now with 2.2.2.... Why are so many people having issues with the PVR-150 yet they are still selling them in bundles (like what they did with the Roslyn cards) - Sometimes I wish they had a phone number I could call. I think that depending solely on email correspondance is slowing down the resolution process big time.

As posted in the OTHER "100% CPU" thread

OK I finally fixed my problem
Let me clean this up a little.
I complained about SageTV and PVR-150 - I believe there is still an issue with this card and SageTV
Then I got my PVR-250 and I was still having similar issues as the PVR-150 which was 100% cpu minus the reboot shortly after.
I went back to the basics... PVR-250 with SageTV 2.0.. guess what.. no problems even using all my STV's
Upgraded to 2.2.2 .. guess what... still no problems...hmm... let me start customizing more.... Nielms webserver which needs those extra jave files in the EXT directory...... copy Nielms files to the correct java directory.. guess what.. back to 100% CPU!!! But wait!! I use webserver with no issues on my other box in my bedroom??? What Java version is my bedroom PC using? j2re1.4.2_04 ...what version is my livingroom PC using ... j2re1.4.2_06! Wait!!! I dont have version j2re1.4.2_04 anymore BUT Wait!! The SageTV disk has that version!!! Uninstalled j2re1.4.2_06... reinstalled j2re1.4.2_04 and copied back Nielms java files... all is well.... Nielm.. is it possible that the files in your package have an issue with this latest version of java? And to anyone else experiencing these phantom 100% CPU cycles... are you using Nielm's webserver plugin?? Peace out

I have EXACTLY the same scenario happening here (SageTV 2.1). I've had the black screen problem off and on since I first tried Sage a couple days ago. The 100% CPU usage I first noticed a few minutes ago - when I started reading this thread in fact. A few close/restart sessions and SageTV is behaving itself again. For how long I wonder?
