Carlo,
I'm sure someone has asked this but I can't remember. Are you working on a deal for VDR? Or should I just purchase it now?

Go ahead and purchase it. Regardless if something works out or not you'll still want to be a "registered/paid" user in order to do commercial cutting.

The only affect a "deal" would do for DVDBurner would be the inclusion of a "lite VDR" that can be used to demux with instead of mpgtx.

Do me a favor, when you purchased it if there is any question related to how do you hear about VDR, mention Cayars STV/DVDBurner.

Quick question. Can this app be set to just generate the .ISO and not burn? My PVR machine only has a DVD-ROM and my burner is on my desktop in the other room. I'd like to make the .ISO on the PVR and then burn with my desktop.

Thanks.

JUC, I can't tell from the log file (everything here looks good) but at what point are you getting the message that it can't find the file?

Cayars, With the version 1 release I'm still getting the unhandled exception

Quote:
Unhandled Exception: System.InvalidCastException: Cast from string "1/31/05" to type 'Date' is not valid.
when the system date format is not mm/dd/yy

Carlo, i select burn dvd---dos prompt comes up, goes away, VRD starts and then it switches back to a dos prompt and it says it is creating the output file (takes 1-2 minutes for that). Then once that is complete it brings up the screen that tells me it can't find the output file. It says
"Version 1.0 error report...file not found exception...could not find file (in the working directory).
at System.IO_Error.WinIOERROR(Int32 error code, string str)
at system.IO.File.SetAttributes(string path, file attributes)
at Microsoft.VisualBasic.Filesystem.Setatt(string path name, file attribute
at DVDburner.Module1.Destroyfile(stringsfilename)

--seems like there might be a few issues.

On another note, and i am not sure if this is related, but when i go to the DVD burn list--nothing shows up. I have to scroll with my mouse the arrows on the right side until i can see the list. My remote will not let me scroll up or down on the list. This however, is not that important right now.

thanks for any help
JUC

F:\SageRecordings\TheSimpsonsSleepingWiththeEnemy-5500174-0.mpg
still there on your HDD?

I believe so. I recently tried with a new show i just recorded and it did the same thing. It was for The amazing race which is definately still there. I just watched it last night. That would have a different debug file though. Is the .VPrj just the project file?

I've been tracing this and can't figure this out. Everything appears fine in the code from what I can see.

I just went back and looked at your error message in 209 and noticed it appears you're running NET framework 1.0 and not the required 1.1 Framework. Please install the proper framework and try the DVD burner again. Let me know the result after the Net framework upgrade.

I will try to reinstall net 1.1 tonight and write down the error report and post my debug file again to see if anything else is going on. I just did a fresh install of sage, your stv and sagemc last week as well. Thanks for the troubleshooting help,
JUC

I'm going to have a new build ready in a few minutes I'd like for you to try. I added some additional logging to help figure this out.

Thanks so much, i won't be home to try it out for another 4 hours but will do so once i get home. This is the only thing that has been giving me issues in this stv and once i can get this working a VIP i will be.

Just a thought---i see in post 210 you asked me if i had the .mpg and .VPrj files. Well, i know i have the .mpg file--that is what is viewed. But, what is the .VPrj file--i don't think i have those and that is what it is looking for right?

The VPrj file is created by the commercial detect process and this is the file used to cut the commercials out.
