/e = elemental streams
/d = delete project file Why don't you update your copy of VDR? The latest beta versions of VDR doesn't seem to have any sync issues at all and this is part of the reason I've asked people to upgrade to the beta. Show/movies names will be added in a future version. |

DVDburner request....
I haven't tried the DVDburner software yet. here is yet another request....
Calculate the amount of compression needed to fit the selected movies onto a single disk, and/or allow burning of multiple single layer disks. Maybe leave it up to the user in terms of how they want to handle it - i.e. yet another menu option... Also are you working with Dual layer disks yet? I have a Dual Layer burner but have yet to use the disks - i think they are still kinda pricey...You don't want to assume that everyone is making dvds only on single layer disks, at least not for much longer.... /Tdog

From inside of SageTV the STV will show you how much room your video footage is going to take without using compression. You have the option of adding/removing files to keep you near the boundary of your disk size.
It doesn't support multiple discs right now, but only single disc burns. It does however allow you to set the size of your disc so you have the option of using single/dual layer write players/discs. Yes as stated above. |

Can't locate file...
Hi,
I'm just recently trying the DVDBurner. This is my problem. Right after VideoRedo I get a msg something like "Can't find file c:\program files\.....DVDtemp\Title... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Carlo, just wanted to report since using VRD for my demuxing the problems with the audio have "went away". I guess its time to shell out the $50 since the trial is done soon. Only way to get it working in my environment at least.
I waited a bit to post this message to be very sure it was working, 8 burns strong and it did not cause any problems.

I am still having some trouble with the dvd burning options. I can at least see the DVD list now which is good. In the detailed setup screen relating the the DVD burner application, there is a space for a key --is this for Video redo, or for a later version of the dvd burner when that comes out? I currently have it set to TRIAL but am getting an error saying dvd burner failed--or something like that. when i get home i will try reinstalling the current dvdburner into the dvdburner folder and see if that helps.

I dont know if I mentioned this or not.
When using videoredo and enabling "dual dirs mode" it will just throw your config out the window and do its own thing. Starts mpgtx without a debug window (even though debug is enabled and videoredo is selected to demux). Just FYI. If I go back to single dir mode all is OK. (If I doubled up on this sorry)

OK, something is not right with the addition of disk space when compressing multi-shows.
I 1st started with the default 4.7GB out of the box. The ISO was just a tad too big for DVD decryptor to burn. - no sweat lets lower it. Moved down to 4.65GB, still reported the same issue. Moved down to 4.6GB, still reported same issue. Now, I am at 4.55GB WELL within the limits and I got the same error, I looked at the ISO size and its 5.8GB!! Not sure whats goiing on with the setting, but it seems to be having the opposite effect when I lower it. I am going back to 4.6GB now to see what the ISO size ends up being exactly. Debug.txt for 4.55GB that produced a 5.8GB file: Code:

No explanation on the compression. I haven't tried pushing it that far as I'd think the compression would be terrible, but I haven't tried it. I normally try and stay in the 25% range and not in the 100-200%.
From your second post that would certainly clear a few things up. Now to see why this happens to you and not me. |

Man, I'm an idiot!
Phil, found the problem to the second issue and all I can say is I'm an idiot. I guess it would help if I "appended" the workdir2 paramter to the list of arguments instead of overwriting them. |

I just tried again at a setting of 4.6GB and it still failed. Created an ISO at roughly 5.8GB again. I will remove 1 show and see what happens. I did a 4 show recording this morning (my 1st good job start-to-finish) and it did work. I dont know what is different now. Can you recreate this?

Good to know I at least contributed something to all these bug reports... Will re-test in the next beta. (On the ISO compression problem) I just started a 3 show X 2.3GB recording, will see what the compression shows now on the finished ISO. Thanks again.
