Hey, yeah, getting the replacement AC adapter worked for me. I cracked the old one open, and I think something inside blew up, because it smelled horrible. It only took 2-3 days to get the replacement adapter. Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on the boards in a while, due to not having my HTPC up right now...

Any luck? I'm on the verge of going out to get a HVR-2250.
