Hey Mick, sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I didn't realize I had a question!

Anyway, the 330 motherbaord (D945GCLF2) is what I have and I do exactly that. I have 2 HD record streams over USB from the R5000-HDs, and stream hi-def to the rest of the house. CPU Utilization is around 20-30% at all times with two hi-def streams coming from the R5000-HDs. As far as I can tell, the clients don't seem to have any noticeable impact on CPU/system utilization.

Hope this helps, and let me know if you have more questions. I can be reached @ nb@synthcom.com

Hi, hope you don't mind the PM - I saw a post of yours that you use atoms as servers was thinking of going down the same road myself and was keen to hear about your experiences. Specifically I'm trying to work out whether an Atom 330? (the dual core one) would have enough grunt to run a sage server with the following simultaneous load: record 2 HD streams and serve 2 HD streams to two clients (HD200s). I'm not fussed on transcoding or comskip etc. Thanks, Mick
