Recording conflict override?

I ran into a pesky problem I can't seem to solve:

I'm trying to record 2 shows on the same evening, one airing from 8:00 to 9:01pm and the other from 9:00 to 10:00pm, but when attempting to set the scheduled recording for the 9 to 10 program, SageTV won't allow it due to a recording conflict. There is only a one minute overlap, so I'm a bit suprised by that.

Is there a workaround of some sort?

Is the extra minute due to padding & are they on the same channel? If so, you can use this property (p. 179 of the v2.1 manual):

remove_padding_on_back_to_back_favorites
when two Favorites are on back-to-back on the same channel it causes any padding to be ignored for that junction

If it isn't due to padding, or if they are on different channels, then you could make the first one a Manual Recording, then adjust its stop time by -1 minute. (Or adjust recording #2.) If they are on different channels, you'll miss a minute (or more if the time is off), but you should get most of both shows.

But, this really would normally be a conflict, since the shows do overlap. That's one reason many of us have multiple tuners.

I didn't realize there was an recording option to adjust stop time - that worked.
