Can't stop Timed Recording, HELP.

I have created the recording from hell by accident. I set up my first timed recording on a composite interface and accidently hit the am/pm selector while adjusting the stop time. I just hit the up botton again to get back to pm. What I didn't notice was the date rolled over to the next day so instead of creating a 45 minute recording I have a 1 day and 45 minute recording. The recording is still going and I can't stop it. I've tried everything I can think of, looked in the manual, and did a website search. HOW CAN I KILL THE RECORDING?

Thanks from stupid Steve

One way would be to go to the Recording Schedule screen, highlight the timed recording & use the Record command (default: Ctrl+Y) on it. That should toggle it to no longer be a manual recording & stop it. You may need to put SageTV to sleep, esp. if you were watching the show.

It worked! My disk drive and all its prior recordings that were going to get whacked thank you for saving them from oblivion. Thanks.

That was one thing I did not try. I had tried pulling up the item in live TV and hitting record to get to record options, but that approach didn't work.

Thanks again,
Steve

Timed Recordings are one area that could use some more on-screen options once they are set up and/or recording. It is a bit confusing regarding how to handle them once you've created one.

Oh -- and using Record while watching it should have worked too, but you had to use it once & then put it to sleep or close the file to kill live TV at that point.
