Make my own video pre-sets

Is there anyway I can make my own custom video pre-sets like you can in Hauppauge's software?

I must be doing something wrong, because after I add a setting and re-start the app, it doesn't show up. I added:

mmc/python2_encoding/Thayne_CVD=videobitrate=1700000|width=352|height=480|audiobitrate=224|vbr=1|peakvideobitrate=2300000|aud

iosampling=44100

When I removed: |audiosampling=44100
It works. I guess I need to screw around some more...

I have a dumb idea. From looking at your post of your modifications, it looks like you have wordwrap enabled in your editor. Do you? This "feature" causes all kinds of problems in your file when you save it. It adds a "return" wherever there is a wordwrap in you text editor. You don't notice it when editing, because of the wordwrap but it's there.

If you copied and pasted that config line straight in to the forum, then that might explain the problem as there is a carriage return in the middle of the word audio:

|aud

iosampling=44100

Try using only Notepad, not word or Wordpad etc. and turn wordwrap off. I don't think it's case sensitive but the easiest way is to cut and paste an already working line and just modify the values, rather than writing the whole line from scratch as that eliminates the risk of spelling errors.

I was using notepad with word wrap off. I don't know what happened when I posted the string here, I assumed the BB software messed it up.

I did notice a few times after re-starting the app then opening the properties file to find the line right under what I had put in appended to the end, like it wasn't getting the line break right. After screwing around with it a few times I have i t working

For the future always make sure when you edit the properties file for any of the Sage applications that you have the application shut down otherwise the changes won't take effect.
