Who uses Firefox for a browser?

what do you think are the most useful extensions?

I love ieview, Image Zoom, LastTab, miniT (drag+indicator), Sort Extensions, SpoofStick

but my ABSOLUTE favorite extension is SessionSaver

the description states that it will auto-track/restore your browser to its previous state no matter what on every startup.... even a crash cannot phase it

I simulated a crash by ending the firefox process while I had a few windows containing at least 4-5 tabs each, AND boy was I surprised when I restarted Firefox, I got all my windows back with all the tabs reloaded to their previous state... BRILLIANT!

Thanks for pointing out SessionSaver. I'm going to have to try that out.

I use Gmail Notifier, Disable Targets for Downloads, GooglePreview, and googlebar. So far I think my favorite extension is Adblock. There's nothing more satisfying than removing an annoying advertisement/image from a webpage in a couple clicks.

Same here - SessionSaver is my favorite. Other than that, I use the ForecastFox weather extension, the Download Manager Tweak, the FTP client, and the one that adds extended options for tabbed browsing, but I forget the name right now.

Now we just need someone to write some Sage-oriented extensions for Firefox... Any ideas?

I think you're talking about Tabbrowser Preferences
...as far as Sage-oriented extensions go, I'm with you on wanting this too

ToxMox, I have FlashGot too, but have not used it... which download manager do you prefer? maybe a couple you think i should look into too Thanks

I use NetTransport from xi-soft. Not as feature rich as some other download managers but works well with the FlashGotAll and is very fast.

Wow I have some catching up to do on my extensions. I used AdBlock for a while, but I forgot to reload it after I formatted my PC.

Oh.. and I use FireFox at home, at work, and at school.

I got one I use all the time and love. Its called cookieculler. It allows me to choose what cookies I want to keep and remove the ones I dont. So for instance......when I clean my cookies i can tell it to keep the one that keeps me signed into the forums so I dont have to sign in all the time. Googlebar is great and I like using IEView and image resize............I use others........but those are the ones I get the most benefit from. And of course nothing like Adblock

I've noticed that when I hit the 'home' button my current tab goes to my homepage, but iI also get a new 'untitled' tab created. Kind of annoying.

I figured it out.

If you open tools->options->general and hit use current for your homepage. All open tabs are added as your homepage. I had my normal homepage, and an empty tab set there.

Wow,

I can't believe noone mentioned mouse gestures..browsing without it is very hard for me now. I recommend the set by Optimoz.

I also use super-drag-and go or something to that extent. Lets you highlight words or sites from a webpage, or a link, and drag it up to open it in a tab...

I haven't looked into too many yet. some of the ones you mentioned look rather interesting.

I use linky and adblock.
I like linky's open all picture links in one tab.

another nice one is flashblock
Quote:
Flashblock is an extension for the Mozilla and Firefox browsers that takes a pessimistic approach to dealing with Macromedia Flash content on a webpage and blocks ALL Flash content from loading. It then leaves a placeholder on the page that allows you to click to view the Flash content.
