Yes or No, optionally ignore "A" & "The" when sorting by title

I always wanted to be able to have the words "A" and "The" either ignored when sorting or have them placed at the end so I could find "The Apprentice" in the "A's" and "The Bachelor" in the "B's" instead of them being in the "T's" when sorting by title.... how do you feel about it?

[Edited]
Example: "Apprentice, The" and "Little Princess, A"

Issues: 1 PVR250 not working, system board?

As long as it is optional, no one should have a problem with being offered this capability.

Sure, as long as they aren't removed, or moved from the display (do the removal internally).

Well, I guess "strip" was the wrong choice of verbage... I do still want to see the words I just want them to be at the back.... Example: "Apprentice, The"

And additionally, I would think it should be optional as well...

I guess I should have thought a little more about my choice of words... maybe the forum moderator can change the thread title from its to "Yes or No, have SageTV optionally ignore words "A" & "The" when sorting by title"

I will put the same example in my first post to clarify too

[Edited]
Tried to change thread title but change only shows when viewing the thread and not when viewing the forum.... moderator??

Better still would be to have a configurable list of words to ignore.

Personally I'd want to have 'The', 'A', 'Movie:' and 'Film:'

that would be cool. I hate having all my movies that start with "The" slapped at the end of my list.

poll results seem to indicate that the people who did vote would like such a sorting option, The.
