What do I need to play HD files?

I was looking at this link from another thread:

http://demod.dvico.com/hdtv/hdtv_demo.tp

and I have no idea what a .tp file is. What records in .tp and what do I need to play it?

First try adding .tp to the:
seeker/video_library_import_filename_extensions=

Line of the properties file.
