Favorites not working in 2.27?
I just uninstalled and reinstalled 2.27 and found my Favorites are not showing up in the upcoming recordings list.
If I go to a show that should be recording and record it manually, the recording shows up. Am I losing my mind, or is this happening to any of y'all? |

Found it. I don't remember this ever being the case before, but maybe I just wasn't looking at the right time. FYI.
Q: How many days in advance does SageTV schedule its recordings? A: Three. (But see the update for version 2, below.) While the downloaded LiveTV guide data covers the next 2 weeks, SageTV will schedule favorites and Intelligent Recordings for the next 3 days, updating the schedule daily when the guide data is updated, or when you modify the schedule manually. (It may 'rethink' the schedule at other times, but those are the two cases I am sure of.) You may schedule a manual recording for any time covered by the guide, however. Note that SageTV attempts to create a schedule that minimizes conflicts. So, if a show conflicts with another, SageTV will look further ahead to see if one of those shows is repeated. If one will be aired again and there is no conflict during one of those future airings, it will schedule that future airing in order to resolve the conflict. Conflict resolution can look further ahead than the lookahead time, provided the lookahead time does not cover all the EPG data. Update: Version 2 has a new property to specify how many days in advance to schedule recordings: scheduling_lookahead=scheduling time in milliseconds (As usual, you have to completely exit SageTV before editing the properties file, or else the changes will be ignored.) Be sure to set the lookahead time in milliseconds; if you set this to 3, I doubt SageTV will find much to record in the next 3 milliseconds. Essentially, set it to: # days to look ahead * 86400000. So, for 3 days, the value is 259200000. For 14 days (the extent of the guide data that SageTV downloads), use 1209600000. There is a thread discussing this: Scheduling_Lookahead in sage.properties file Q: Why isn't my Favorite set to record? It falls within the next 3 days, so it should be in my recording schedule. A: There could be a variety of reasons: If it is already recorded & sitting in the list of SageTV Recordings, it won't be recorded again. If the episode is marked as 'Watched' or 'Don't Like', SageTV won't record it again. Is it a rerun & your favorite is set for First Runs only, or vice-versa? It may be scheduled to record during another airing. (See above.) There is a conflict and that favorite was deemed to be a lower priority than another favorite or manual recording, so it was skipped. (Check for recording conflicts.) |

Also: it seems to be rerun season... I've got a 5-day lookahead and have a grand total of 1 favorite scheduled to record 4 days from now.
