Hauppauge Tweak Tool

Amontillado has created an interesting Hauppauge Tweak Tool. Some comments from that site:

Quote:
With the Hauppauge Tweak Tool several advanced settings can be changed that are not accesible with the normal software.

There are four sections:
  • "Wintv2k" contains settings for wintv2k (the hauppauge software). These settings can apply to several models

  • "250/350" contains settings specifically for the pvr 250 and 350 cards. Some of the settings only affect wintv2k, but most affect some third party software as well.

  • "150/500" contains settings specifically for the pvr 150 and 500 cards. Some of the settings only affect wintv2k, but most affect some third party software as well.

  • "150/500 advanced" contains more 150/500 setting, advanced settings as temporal/spatial filtering (Motion blur) can be found here. Some of the settings only affect wintv2k, but most affect some third party software as well.

Lightbulb Tweak Tool for Pvr-x50 & 500

Don't know if you guys know about this one, (Big thanks to amontillado for his work on this) but this little tool is my savior. Thought you should all know about it.

Download it

Quote from Htpcnews.com:
As with anything, use this tool at your own risk. As you can tell by the screenshot there is a whole host of things you can enhance... or screw up.

I find it interesting that I didn't take note of until there was a screenshot. THEN I investigated it and found it worthy.

Thanks, Methius, for (re)bringing it to our(my) attention.

What about settings for the Hauppauge USB2 PVR? Anyway to tweak those? I am thinking this tool might allow me to increase volume, some of my recordings (I havent pinpointed if its recordings from the 150 or the PVR USB2) seem to have low volume levels. I mean you can still hear it, but you have to crank up volume at least 25 -50% louder than other apps/games/etc.

If you have more than one of the same card, do these setting automatically affect all of them or do you somehow have to force the change for each card?
