PAL: SageTV updated video now grey and stretched
I held off updating Sage for a long time (like near 6-8 months) as it just worked.. problems with my network and sage client crashes meant i've been playing files directly when i needed to in another video player..
Anyways i thought i'd give the MVP stuff a go so i took the plunge and updated to latest SageTV server.. i answered that i am in the united kingdom when it loaded (can't see where this setting is in any of the menus) .. a quick check of the video and it looks wrong.. its black and white and stretched.. i've seen it like this before.. perhaps its trying it as SVIDEO even tho composite is selected.. Im using a PVR-250 over composite .. Can anyone help me.. not nice having it broken at the moment Just updating my PVR drivers as recommended on the support page i hope this doesn't mess up my recording quality which has been good for a long time. after rebooting having installed the recommended pvr drivers i can no longer actually watch video properly, the whole system is unresponsive with sage running.. bizarely the tooltray icon for the task manager shows 60% usage, so does the bottom of the task manager window itself but when i look at the processes and order by cpu usage nothing is above 2% .. ie. the total cpu usage doesn't match up with the processes shown..
I am really regretting updating.. i've got a restore point on the pvr drivers but still the sage server greyness back then will be a problem... ARRRRGHHH!! |

few.. stumbling across the sticky for PVR-150 cards and following its advice seems to have fixed it.. not sure what the ghost process was that i couldn't see in the task manager but with the right country code as described
http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...ad.php?t=10130 it seems to look right and CPU usage is low when doing nothing with sage running again.. just about to check the sound of the recording.. Are the drivers linked on the support page at frey the recommended ones to use?! no jitter, stutter, ghosting problems etc?! it was such voodoo as to which driver to use last time i fiddled that i always stuck with mine that was mostly ok.
