Yes and around 10 years ago +/- a few years I bought a 1GB IDE harddrive for $1500 and a year later a 1GB SCSI drive for $1000. Man what I would like to do with the same amount today!!!

Yeah, no offense, but premiere sucks. Get Avid FreeDV. It's free, and has a much better core. Not as many bells & whistles, but it's pretty effective. Kinda like iMovie except better.
Thanks, I will check that out! I'm just a duffer doing some minor editing work for fun. Helping out my cousin with her "independent" movie right now in my spare time. Guess everyone with a couple of DV camcorders and some film education makes "independent" films . Though, we're on a hiatus till I get the new media server up, nothing else has enough storage to work with that kind of content. For Sage stuff, I ended up getting MPEG-VCR.

Back on topic, I ordered on of those Linksys stick-in-USB NAS adaptors today thanks to another thread here. Since my server died, I got a couple of those external USB cases so I could at least get temporary access to my media files. For pretty cheap I can add a NAS device to my home network and that was hard to resist . Aparently its comming from Singapore via the local distributor so could be awhile before I get it but I'll post how it works when I do.
